Harness racing hits Auckland again today with nine races on the card. The racing starts at 5:58pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good night of racing.

Race 1

Shesgold (6) In peak form and should give a good account again here. Top selection
Taylad To Use (4) Ok run last start and extra distance should suit. One for longer odds
Bravehearthighlander (9) Making mistakes but big on ability. Could surprise with manners

Race 2

I Got Chills (3) This looks a drop in class for him and he looks a good bet from the draw
The Jolly Roger (2) Well drawn and has the speed to be one of the early leaders. Include
Crumsy (6) Has trialled well and stable going well. Top three chance with a good trip

Race 3

Akatea (2) Racing well in stronger fields. Should go close again here from the tidy draw
Sugar Ray Lincoln (1) Gets conditions to suit. Might get a soft fence run and has claims
Bruntwood Brigade (9) Astute stable and good enough to win if he finds some gaps. Include

Race 4

Father Barry (9) Manners the key but he looks the winner with no mistakes. Top selection
Stone Cold (10) Freshened and was consistent towards the end of his last campaign. Needed
Heartbreak Hotel (6) Former Canterbury trotter with ability. Could surprise fresh up here

Race 5

Jeremiah (7) Big motor and could be too fast for this field. Wide draw the only concern
Mako (5) Has raced well against similar fields. Decent chance of going back to back here
The Surfer (4) Stable respect and will be improved. Look for a better showing this week

Race 6

Merlin (7) Last start was flying home and extra distance is ideal. Top selection in this
The Big Lebowski (4) Good run fresh and big improver. Underrated and one for odds.
Sooner The Bettor (3) Good win last start over a shorter trip. Can still give cheek here

Race 7

Beetastic (2) Draw suits and beat a better field last start. Has to be hard to run down here
Hot And Dangerous (6) No luck last start but big run on debut. Can win with luck. Needed
Youretheonethatiwant (5) Good beginner who might head forward early. Winning claims

Race 8

American Muscle (7) Can run time and should give a good sight again with luck in running.
Dream Of You (11) Goes well fresh and looks well forward for resumption. Top three here
Matty A (9) In good form before a freshen up. Good winning chance in this field. Include

Race 9

Classic Elegance (5) Racing well against the top fillies. Gate speed and top selection here
Minjee (3) Decent motor and a chance from a better draw. Will race handy here. Needed
Seaside Rose (4) Ok run last start. Will continue to improve and place hope again here
