Harness racing hits Auckland again today with 8 races on the card. The racing starts at 5:45pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good night of racing.

Race 1

Midfrew Lucre (6) Always thereabouts and conditions suit. Can run into top three with luck
Ohoka Achilles (8) Small field will help and should begin quickly. Best form in the race. Needed
Baileys Pitch (4) Getting better with racing and stable respect here. Has winning claims in this

Race 2

River (1) Drawn well and raced some handy fields last campaign. Looks hard to beat against these
Georgie Best (6) Stable respect and has drawn well for this. Master driver on and goes close here
Captain Moonlight (9) Improver from his last start and soft pegs run likely. Top three chance 

Race 3

Brienne (5) Good beginner who will race handy. Always a place chance in these conditions. Include
Santapazienza (9) Ok last start and will hold form. Winning claims with a good run in transit. EW
Bolt For The Hill (11) Disappointing last start but class drop here. Can sneak into the top three 

Race 4

Sweet Maggie Mae (7) Solid second last start and a winning chance but bad draw. Will need luck
Beachbreak (1) Has gate speed and goes well the track. Should give a good account from the ace
Sugar Ray Lincoln (9) Out of form but improver with a place chance at longer odds in this field

Race 5

Akuta (7) Looks thrown in here. Should be winning if anywhere near fit. Top selection at short odds
Mighty Looee (6) Had excuses last start and well placed. Wouldn’t surprise to see big improvement
Treacherous Baby (5) Will be fitter after last start. Will be running on late but hard to see winning

Race 6

Kiss And Run (5) Good beginner who will race close to the speed here. Should go close to placing
Ya Eejit Ya (2) Might get a soft run handy. Winning claims if he brings his manners. Good chance
Belle Neige (7) Due to show form and has enough speed to threaten these. Will need best behavior

Race 7

Tytate (3) Easy win last start and can go on with it here. Will take all sorts of running down here
Secrets Abound (5) Likes to go forward and would need to lead to beat the favourite. Place claims
Brookside Girl  (2) In good form and should get a good run near the speed. Top three chance

Race 8

Mad Mary (6) Uncharacteristic break last start. If she brings her A-game she will go close to winning
Whatever It Takes (5) Decent motor and winning form is good form. One of the better chances
Pretty In Pink (8) Disappointing gallop last start. Will continue to improve and win hope again here
