Harness racing hits Auckland again today with nine races on the card. The racing starts at 5:54pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good night of racing.

Race 1

Eagle Hanover (3) Normally a good beginner who might take some catching if he finds the front
Sans Au Revoir (7) Has not had a lot of luck and should be running on. One for longer odds here
Yurok (6) Getting better with racing and has early speed. Rough chance of placing with luck

Race 2

Katies Princess (5) Has raced better fields. Gate speed to lead and looks a good chance. Needed
McKendrick (7) Wide draw but has the speed to be one of the better chances with a cart into it
Bet West (3) Improver from his last start and drawn to play a part. Top three chance again in this

Race 3

Ocean Eyes (4) Stable in good form and has been racing well in similar fields. Top selection here
Father Barry (11) Has been disappointing with his bad manners. Goes close if he trots all the way
Val Thorens (8) Good run after doing quite a bit during the running last start. Can sneak a top three

Race 4

Dear God (4) Goes very well on the track and a winning chance again with her gate speed. Include
Mantra (2) In form and drawn to one of the major players in this field. Hard to beat and needed
Chase Me (8) Tricky draw worked hard and won last start. Win chance with a similar effort in this

Race 5

Always B Elite (7) Must run first or second looking at his form. Consistent and will be thereabouts
Hawkeye Pierce (6) Has raced well against similar fields. Wider draw but looks hard to beat
Village Rebel (8) Has been running on well in recent starts. Look for a good run again in this field

Race 6

High Energy (12) Unlucky last start but big field to get around here. Nice each way chance with luck
Pantani (11) Disappointing last week and never looked comfortable. Even field but expect improvement
Halberg (9) Galloped early last start but better than that. Top three chance at longer odds with manners

Race 7

Upstage (3) Can run time and was good here last start. Should give a sight from a nice draw in this
Semba (6) Wide draw but does have gate speed. Hard to run down if he can lead. Winning claims
The Jolly Roger (2) Going for three in a row and small field will help. Good draw and can go close

Race 8

Aventador (4) Racing well in slightly stronger fields. One of the main hopes and gets his chance here.
Sadhaka (2) Gate speed early will help and should go close to placing in this. Respect the stable
Beachbreak (5) Always running on and should get his chance in a smaller field. Top three claims

Race 9

Eyeliner (6) Better run last start and wide draw the only worry. Should go close to running top three
Carbon (5) Stable respect and looks a good place chance in this. At his best would go close to winning
Betyoucan (3) Ok run last start. Will continue to improve and place hope again here from a good draw
