Harness racing hits Auckland again today with ten races on the card. The racing starts at 5:47pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good night of racing.

Race 1

Twista (8) Has improved out of sight since he left the North Island. Could surprise here
Always B Elite (6) Disappointing last start. Warming up for feature races later on
Next Level (2) Manners needed but a big chance if he does things right at the start

Race 2

Beta Prepare (2) Nice draw and will be fitter for this. Looks an each way chance today
Predator (4) Beaten by a good one at Cambridge. Should go close to top three again here
Dave Duley (7) Has been good at trials. Wide draw but has winning claims in this.

Race 3

Aldebaran Pippi (7) Manners the key and a good chance with a safe beginning. Needed
Wish For Fish (6) Coming in fresh. Can run top three with a good run in transit
Father Barry (2) Only needs manners to be a chance from the front row draw. Include

Race 4

Madrid (9) Big drop in class here. Will be ready and can go close to winning
Pandora (7) Goes well on the track and has gate speed. Should be there abouts
C U There (1) Big draw upgrade. Stronger field here but not the worst in this

Race 5

Treacherous Baby (4) Drawn well and has beaten most of these before. Top selection
Ultimate Racy Girl (2) Has gate speed and drawn to be competitive. Winning claims
Coastal Babe (7) Wide draw but no doubting ability. Chance with a good trip

Race 6

Melsadele (3) Improver for this after working hard last start. One of the better chances
Faith In Manchester (1) Beat most of this field last start. Will need luck but can win again
Sunnys Sister (9) Smaller field will help from 25m handicap. Good chance with manners

Race 7

Chase A Dream (6) Wide draw but has beaten similar fields. Winning claims here
The Surfer (4) Best runs have been from the front but strong field. Chance with a soft run
Cold Chisel (7) Stable does well on the track. Freshened and one of the better chances

Race 8

Jeremiah (7) Wider draw for this but has finishing speed and in form. Top selection
Throwyaarmsaroundme (5) In good form. This is harder but can run top three
Little Spike (2) Unbeaten but this looks harder. Top three chance with a trail in the race

Race 9

Merlin (4) Big upgrade in draws and looks the leader in the race. Hard to beat
Self Assured (5) Races well on the track and in form. Should run first or second
Mach Shard (3) Gate speed and getting fitter. Hard to see him beating the favourites

Race 10

Bangkok Betty (6) Conditions suit and should give a good account here. Needed
Shesgold (3) Should get a run through from the draw. Winning claims with manners
Dhoni Trouble (7) Getting better with racing and if the pace is on can win again
