Harness racing hits Banks Peninsula again today with eleven races on the card . The racing starts at 12:30pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good day of racing.

Race 1

Hi Hopes (3) Goes well on grass and drawn to suit her front running style. Top selection
Jose Quivera (8) Has raced better fields and wide draw only concern. Needed in this
Terrormylove (4) Getting better with racing and tidy second last start. Place chance again

Race 2

Madam Patsy (1) Drawn well and should give a good account here if she can begin safely
Aldebaran Redwood (4) Has good grass form and will be fitter. Good winning claims
A Reason To Fight (5) Normally begins well and might be one of the leaders. Place chance

Race 3

Melton Enforcer (6) Goes best in front and could head there with top driver booked. Needed
Verducci (2) Ok last start and a threat to these with a good run in transit. In the mix here
She’s A Major Act (7) Good effort last start but wide draw. Small field will help her chances

Race 4

Judine (10) Will get a soft pegs run and a big chance with any gaps. Top selection in this
Woodlea Diamond (14) Has been unlucky on several occasions. Will be running home late
Arizonawildcat (1) Out of form but an improver with top three claims at longer odds here

Race 5

Dem Bones Dem Bones (10) Second row draw but will appreciate the conditions here.
Musclynn (7) No form but well placed here and conditions suit. Each way chance at odds
Brianna (11) Likes the grass surface and quick beginner. Can provide some good value

Race 6

Elektra King (7) At her best would go close in this and only needs manners to be a chance
Waikaka (2) Stable respect here and better than the form suggests. Has to be included
Miracle Memphis (3) Due a win and drawn well here. One of the better chances in this field

Race 7

Transtasman Bubble (5) Much better last start and can go on with it. Good odds available
Lindy’s Rocket (12) Should get a run through early. Ran on well last start and has claims
Diamond Harbour (8) Goes well on the track and conditions suit. Upset claims at nice odds

Race 8

Classie Linc (12) Grass suits and good second last start. Needs luck but could surprise
Jukebox Gypsy (1) Good recent trial and drawn to suit. Upset chance at longer odds here
Shakira (11) Has been racing better fields and should get a good run near the speed. Include

Race 9

The Coalman (1) Fastest horse in the field and grass suits. Good winning chance in this
Country Gold (3) Decent motor and running on last start. Normally steps well and needed
Done Rockn (10) Has had a few runs to get fitter and is speedy. Can push the favourites

Race 10

Buffy Northstains (6) Has raced well in better fields. Due to show form and winning claims
Brian Beatt (11) Good beginner who could get a run through early. Upset chance in this
Holly Highlander (4) Will race handy to the speed here. Good chance if she finds the front

Race 11

Light Me Up (11) Grass suits and going for three on end. Can go close here with luck
Social Distancing (9) Good form on grass and wide draw the only concern. Could surprise
Destiny’s Dream (2) Likely to race close to the speed here. One of the better chances
