Harness racing hits Motukarara again today with 13 races on the card. The racing starts at 11:55am and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good day of racing.

Race 1

John Stewart (13) Grass suits and only needs a cart into the race to be a major threat. In the mix
The Highlander (10) Small field will help and should get a soft pegs run. Will need gaps but include
Georgie Zukov (2) Getting better with racing and could be the leader in the race. One for odds

Race 2

Lap It Up (5) Has a bit of a reputation and trial form is good. Should give a good account on debut
Honest Wal (12) Trainer driver combo do well here with first starters. Has to be included in combos
B K Mumma Jamie (13) Improver from her last start and good beginner. Top three chance again here

Race 3

Route Sixty Six (5) Drawn well and should be ready for a good showing. Better run expected here
Scotlynn Fortress (12) Ok last start and a threat to the favourites with a good run in transit. Include
Vesta (1) Good effort last start and better draw. Can sneak into the top three with a trailing run

Race 4

Kushite Warrior (3) Has not had much luck and a winning chance again from the draw. Needed
Sweet Willow (2) Out of form but stable going well and conditions suit here. Should give a sight
Stormy Vista (10) In good form and should get a soft pegs run. Big chance with any gaps late

Race 5

Bluey (5) Has promised plenty but has been disappointing. Give one more chance in an even field
Silvester (3) Had excuses last start and well placed here. Good each way chance from the draw
Schoemaker (12) Will be fitter after last start. Will appreciate the grass surface and has claims

Race 6

Festus Haggen (11) Fought on last start in a similar field. Goes well here and top selection in this
Ask Me Lazarus (2) Had excuses last start and well placed here. Good EW chance from the draw
Franco Humbie (12) Will be fitter after last start. Normally running on late and can run top three. 

Race 7

The Coalman (2) Good beginner and hard to beat if he can step and get an economical trip.
Quicker Than Quick (7) Should get a soft run handy. One of the better chances in the race
To Ri Ruby (5) Due to show form and drawn ok here. Driver change and grass suits. Needed

Race 8

Musclynn (8) Notable driver change and she goes well on the track. One for longer odds in this
Waihemo Hannah (4) Decent motor and is drawn well here. Even field but is worth including
Holly Highlander (12) Disappointing last start. Will continue to improve and conditions suit

Race 9

Captain Tyron (11) Big run last start and will be put in the race early. Wide draw but can win
Franco Ankara (6) Decent motor and will be right in the fight. One of the better chances
Olympian (4) Disappointing last start after some inspired support. Better draw and place chance

Race 10

Still Rockin (9) Has raced well in similar fields. Likely to head forward early to the front. Needed
Here’s Herbie (5) Good beginner and better than most in this field. Has to be respected in this
Tanzania (14) Good finish last start and can do some work mid race. Always a chance on grass

Race 11

Lonnekers (1) Grass suits and has drawn the best position. Can go close here with no mistakes
Mighty Flying Lou (5) Good form on grass and drawn for a cozy run near the front. Needed
Goorambat Art (10) Should get a soft run on the pegs and can finish well. One for longer odds

Race 12

Almighty (4) Has been unlucky and best draw for some time. Top selection and hard to beat
The Royal Gamble (7) Better than the form suggests. Can do some work mid race. Good chance
Love Walked In (12) Out of form but at her best would be competitive. Not the worst at longer odds

Race 13

Ohoka Cobra (2) Grass suits and looks the likely leader in the race. Top driver sticks with. Win chance
Take The Miki (10) Unbeaten on grass and drawn for a cozy run on the pegs. Go again in this field
Nasana (1) Likely to race close to the speed here. One of the better chances from the ace draw. Include
