Harness analyst – Cambridge 17th December

Harness racing hits Cambridge tonight with an eight race program starting at 5.34pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a nice night of racing.

Cambridge selections 17th December 2020

Race 1

Lynton Creek good run for third last start and can go on with it. Tricky draw but top selection .…… Kayla Maguire normally a quick beginner and could head forward early. Can win..… Highview Justice always a chance in these amateur races and over the odds. Upset chance…… Frankie Jones runs the odd good race and not the worst here. Another with gate speed who could make it interesting early

Race 2

Sir Henry Castleton  getting it wrong at the start but has the ability. Hard to beat with manners.……. Fira  has the ability and weaker field here. Can go close and will get a run near the leaders…… Mackali has run some good races previously and drawn to lead early. One for longer odds…… My Royal Roxy races ok on the track and has manners. Top three player

Race 3

Mary Robyn up from Canterbury and running into form. Should give a good sight in this field….. Richmond Tiger one paced but drawn to get a run through early. Good winning chance in this field….. Weren't Watching has the ability to beat a field like this but needs a run handy to the lead and the speed on all the way. Can win and over the odds….. Lavish Art first starter with ok trial form. Tote the guide but has claims.

Race 4

Jungle Gem ok last start and but tricky draw. Can handle this field and top selection ….. Jimmy Richter racing into form and gets a head start on the stablemate. Hard to beat if handy turning for home….. Port Delight racing well but horror draw. Has gate speed but place chances look best….. Onedin Punter likely to get a good run close to the lead and looks a place hope again here

Race 5

Harvey Specter ok last start and this field looks weaker. Can win at good odds ….. Jimmy The Irishman racing into form and drawn favourably. Hard to beat if the pace is on all the way….. Betterthanyouthink getting fitter and drawn well. One of the leading chances….. Roma Rosa tricky draw but has some speed. Rough place hope at big odds

Race 6

Peakz Luck  conditions suit and raceday form is pretty good. Will be hard to beat and should run top three.…. Delson tricky handicap but has a lot of speed. Can run top three in this field…… Elegant Peak racing well and should get a good run from the draw. Should be close to the placings..… Expensive Crumpet  good win last start and will be improved. Could upset with a good run in transit

Race 7

About Turn in good form and conditions suit here. Hard to beat if he gets a cart into the race.…. Lady Cherokee out of form but good stayer. Could upset if back to her best ….. Armed Reactor speedy when caught in the right mood. Can win if they go hard up front and he has one run at them…. Eagle Watch in good form but not sure the 2700m suits. Place chance

Race 8

All Yours pacer dropping back from Auckland form and likely to head for the front. Has winning claims and top selection….. The Banker good draw and has the speed to compete with these. Good winning chance ….. Hezacrocwatcher good staying type who gets in well here. He will be finishing on if the pace is on all the way. Include…. New York Minute tricky draw but if the pace is on he is a good chance for a top three finish and has won on the track.…..
