Harness racing hits Oamaru again today with nine races on the card . The racing starts at 1:33pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good afternoon of racing.

Race 1

Brother Johnson (8) Honest trotter who is trained locally. Up to winning this. Needed
B D Hall (2) Stable respect and has trialed ok. On debut and will need manners but include
Spanish Princess (1) Getting fitter. Has the speed if she trots away cleanly at the start

Race 2

Fernz Goldy (3) Only fair the last few runs but this is more her go. Winning claims here 
Oakley Shard (4) Form is better than it looks on paper. Will be running on late and hard to beat
Sidorova (8) Tricky draw but sure to be running on late here. One for longer odds in this

Race 3

Storm Cloud (2) Finally got his first win. Quick beginner who will appreciate the shorter trip
Royal Rock (7) Nice debut win on grass. Can go back to back with a fast start. Winning claims
Millie Let Loose (8) Has won on the track and could surprise if she does things right. Include

Race 4

Moses (3) Solid win at recent trials for new trainer and a leading chance with manners early
The Present Maker (6) Has lots of speed and only needs manners to be a winning chance here
Cody Banner (7) No form but drops in grade and a place chance if he stays trotting the whole way

Race 5

Katherine (5) Conditions suit and a leading player here with a good run in transit. Include
Biggles (7) Up in grade but tidy win last start and getting better. Good chance again here.
Warloch (6) Needs a hot pace and he can get over the top of them late. Winning claims

Race 6

Melody Banner (2) Disappointing on occasions but very fast when she is right. Top selection
Trojan Princess (4) Driver change for this and good on her day. Could surprise at longer odds
Lord Fantasy (1) Drawn best and likely favourite in this. Should give a good account here

Race 7

Petite Trixton (6) Hasn’t had much luck and hard to beat if she puts it all together. Include
Jordan Anne (1) Stable in good form and should step cleanly here. She is consistent. Needed
Shandon Bells (9) Has been only fair the last few runs but should give a good account here

Race 8

Sinai Sermon (2) Likely to race close to the speed here. One of the better chances in this field
Mouton Cadet (9) Normally running on late and drawn for a run through. Not the worst
Bonnie’s Girl (1) Good draw and likely leader early. Top driver booked and should go close

Race 9

Major Linc (10) Obvious ability and top driver booked for this. One of the better chances in this
Babe On The Beach (6) Decent motor and stable respect here. Wide draw but needed here
Racie Dale (4) Improved run last start. Will continue to improve and place hope again
