Harness racing hits Gore again today with eleven races on the card. The racing starts at 12:40pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good day of racing.

Gore selections 19^th February 2023

Best Bet:  R7  Ariella

Best Value:  R3   Donald Trot

Race 1

Julie Jaccka (1) Good second last start and a big chance to go one better here. Needed
Majesdix (2) Has been galloping but a decent motor. Can run top three with manners
Summars (6) Quick beginner from the stand and good top four chance in this.

Race 2

Sunnivue Phileah (2) Grass suits and normally a good beginner. Could surprise fresh.
Dem Bones Dem Bones (7) Goes ok on grass and only needs a safe beginning to be a threat
Jordan Anne (6) Conditions suit and can go close with the right trip in the running.

Race 3

Donald Trot (8) Wide draw but has been unlucky in a few of his races. Winning claims
Call Me Sir (11) In good form and a chance in this field but needs luck from the draw
Matai Harry (10) Freshened and did go ok on grass previously. One for longer odds

Race 4

Hit The Lights (9) Grass suits and second row draw on the pegs. Can win with any gaps
Seabreeze Solitaire (2) Should get a cosy run in front. Hard to run down in this field
Better Be Watching (13) Tough draw but has ability. Place claims with a cart into the race

Race 5

I’m Watching You (2) Good draw and in top form. Looks hard to beat in this field
Paradise Valley (10) Might get a soft pegs run and grass suits. Include in exotics
Sherwood Maggie (3) Has a good draw and short distance ideal. Good chance in this field

Race 6

Beaver (3) Coming back after a long break. Previous form excellent and can win
Mudslinger Monty (7) Ok at the trials and has winning claims with a good run in transit
Scruffy (6) Racing well in stronger fields. Not sure grass will suit but needed here.

Race 7

Ariella (6) Looks the one to beat and small field will help. Rates highly in this
Insarchatwist (5) Has run some good races on grass and has a nice finish. Include
Mighthavtime (4) Has a bit of gate speed and could lead early here. Top three chance

Race 8

Sophie (3) Has been unlucky and strike rate trainer. Good chance from the draw
Sagwitch (4) Fast off the gate and grass ok. Hard to run down if he gets his own way
Mucho Macho Man (6) Racing fairly but wider draw. Can run a cheeky race

Race 9

Cody Banner (2) Racing well and good on grass. Can win with no mistakes
Top Pocket Chance (1) Better draw to work with and manners the only concern. Include
Port Pegasus (5) Fast beginner and racing ok. Could surprise in this field

Race 10

Gotta Elect Bill (9) Plenty of ability and draw the only concern. Can go close here with luck
The Big Lebowski (6) Fitter after last start fourth. One paced but will be running on
Onedin Hurricane (8) Tricky draw but has speed on grass. Not the worst in this field

Race 11

Jimmy Steel (5) Made up a stack of ground last start. Can go close here with luck
Rightazz (2) Unlaced on grass but give another chance. Winning claims from a better draw.
La Moth (1) Has been freshened. Raced well last campaign and could place from the draw
