Harness racing hits Hawera again today with 10 races on the card. The racing starts at 1:00pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good day of racing.

Race 1

Buynowpaylater (1) Rare gallop on day one. Well placed and can run top three with manners
Brother Johnson (9) Running on first day and only needs a quicker start to be right in this. Needed
Valentina Shevchenko (2) Getting better with racing and likely leader again here. Place chance

Race 2

Run Blaze Run (8) Not far away last start and similar field to contend with. Has to be included
Get Set Party (1) New to the meeting and trainer does well here. Upset claims on grass debut
Indisposed (7) Improver from her last start third and similar field. Top three chance again here

Race 3

Enya Franco (6) Grass stats not great but stable on fire and better run expected. Top selection
Captain Zenzi (7) Ok last start and not the worst in this field. Chance with a good run in transit
The Night Fox (9) Good effort last start and soft pegs draw. Can sneak into the top three with luck

Race 4

Paradise Ali (14) Solid win last start but up in grade. Can go back to back with luck in running
Kenny Hill (8) Good second last start and should give a good account again with any improvement
Conrad H (12) Scratched the first day after rearing at the start. Has place claims at longer odds

Melton Mogul (3) Fought on last start after working hard all the way. Top selection in this
Im All In (7) Nice win on day one but up in grade for this. Good each way chance again here
Always B Sweet (5) Will be fitter after last start third. Wider draw but worth including again

Race 6

The Enigma (8) Fought on last start and will be fitter for this. Top selection and hard to beat
Rutherford (5) Had excuses last start and well placed here. Good each way chance. Needed
Magie Do (1) Will be fitter after last start. Inside draw and should get a soft trip. Include

Race 7

Jaccka Opa (1) Good against a weaker field last start. Hard to beat from the ace draw here
Shezabettorgirl (6) Very easy win last start. Winning claims again but will need the right trip.
Sweet Vintage (3) Drawn well and had more in the tank when winning on day one. Go again

Race 8

Premium Player (7) Got stopped in his tracks by a galloper first day. Goes close with better luck
Johnny Who (11) Decent motor and running home well last start. One of the better chances
Forgiveness (6) Easy win last start at huge odds when the gaps opened. Might upset again here

Race 9

Double Time (4) Narrow win against this field on day one but goes back 10m. Top three claims
Rough And Ready (5) Decent motor and rushed home well here last start. One of the better chances
American Me (6) Battled well after leading last start. Will continue to improve and place hope again 

Race 10

The Night Agent (6) Has raced better fields. Drawn wide here but looks a good bet. Needed
Social Distancing (5) Has gate speed and better than most in this field. Has to be respected in this
Caulfield (4) Good finish last start and can do some work mid race. Should give a good account
