Harness racing hits Hawera again today with ten races on the card. The racing starts at 12:05pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good day of racing.

Race 1

Aldebaran What (7) Mistake on day one but recovered well. Driver change and improver here
Trippy Tyron (10) Normally begins ok. Good recent form on grass and has to be included.
Scoots (3) Will be fitter and last start third was solid. Could surprise here if he keeps handy

Race 2

Tina Ace (3)  Big late finish last start and well placed in this. Can go close with luck
Frankie (4) Well drawn and has the ability to threaten. Top three chance in this
Tres Bonne Fille (5) Good beginner who could surprise if she leads. Winning claims

Race 3

Cool Phelan (5) At her best would go close in this. Conditions suit and can run top three
Eagle Hanover (6) Ok draw and goes well the grass. Not the worst in this. Needed here
Conrad H (2) Decent finish on the first day and can go one better with luck. Top three

Race 4

Ideal Crunch (3) Bit unlucky on day one and will be fitter. Draw helps her chances here
Jetasi (8) Conditions suit and should give a good account with a good run in transit
Pushtheskyaway (6) Getting better with racing. Quick beginner who can place with luck

Race 5

Whitfield (6) Drawn ok and one for longer odds if he gets a good run in transit. Upset claims
Didjashoutthebar (4) Better draw and good enough to place again here. Top three claims
Rapid Response (11) Ok on grass in similar fields recently. Should be fitter but draw a concern

Race 6

Kourtney Kardash (12) In winning form and looks hard to beat again here. Include
Lewey Maguire (3) Disappointing last start but better than that. One for longer odds
Tasi Ahnau (7) Has winning claims with a good run in transit. Stable always hard to beat

Race 7

Boudica (11) At her best would go close here. Big finish on day one and winning claims
Le Major(13) No luck last start but give another chance in this. Could upset at nice odds
Village Rebel (9) Interfered with at the start on day one. One for longer odds with luck

Race 8

Fusion Reactor (10) Should improve from day one fifth. Will be finishing on late here
Akatea (6) Ok draw and likely to go forward. Should give a good sight here if in front
The Beach House (3) Grass suits and nice run day one. Place claims again in this field

Race 9

Sans Au Revoir (4) Too good day one and hard to beat again in this. One of the better chances
High Energy (10) Has been galloping and only needs manners to be a big threat. Go again
Romeo Foxtrot (1) Consistent form and one of the better chances in this. Needed from the draw

Race 10

Farewell Spit (12) Running on last start and looks a good value bet here. Can run top three
Benjamin Button (11) Due to get back some form. Can finish well off a hot pace. One for odds
Sweet Spirit (2) Fitter for the last start run. Ok draw and winning chance with a quick beginning
