Harness racing hits Invercargill again today with eight races on the card. The racing starts at 2:26pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good day of racing.

Race 1

Hot Saucy Betty (2) Ran home well last start and looks hard to beat here with no mistakes
Shooosh (3) Finished on well last start and should improve. Danger to the favourite
Peaky Lou (4) Trainer change and top driver booked. Could surprise with manners

Race 2

Ideal Double (3) TRainer has a good record with debut runners and trials good. Top selection
Baileys Art (2) Tricky draw but showed ability when racing in Canterbury. Can run top three here
Need A Change (1) Will get a soft run from the draw. Solid place chance in this field

Race 3

Bobby Vinton (7) Form not great but better than it reads on paper. Could surprise at longer odds
The Dark Knight (3) Likely to go forward from the draw with top driver booked. Winning claims
Razor Sharp (2) Conditions suit and he looks hard to beat in this field from the draw

Race 4

Cool Phelan (6) Has the form on the board and distance will suit.Major player in this field
Night Watch (1) Good draw and should get a good run in transit. Winning claims
Shandon Bells (9) Tricky draw but racing ok. Chance if he gets a cart into the race

Race 5

Magic Sign (2) Comes up with a good draw and has been racing well. Big improver for this race
Henry Maguire (3) Drawn well and coming into form. Looks one of the hardest to beat in this
Better Fly (4) Has been disappointing but last start was better and she could surprise in this

Race 6

Nyla (8) Tricky draw but weak field to contend with. Winning claims with top driver on board
Tashs Bad Girl (4) Good beginner who might be the early leader. Can spice up the exotics
Rosies Terror (6) Gear change might help and one for longer odds in this field

Race 7

Foveaux Strait (6) Has been powering home his last couple. One of the major players in this field
Van Liberty (7) Has run some good races against similar fields. Freshened for this. Include
Amass (1) Has the draw and latest workout good. Can go close to top three here

Race 8

Fireforefiddle (1) Nice effort to win last start. Looks hard to beat with a fence run
Emerald Abbey (10) Tricky draw but demolished her opposition last start. Can win again
Melton Mafia (6) Gets into a suitable race but out of form. Would go close if back to his best
