Harness racing hits Invercargill again today with nine races on the card. The racing starts at 12:16pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good day of racing.

Best Value:  R4  Janaka’s Delight

Race 1

The Wulver (1) Freshened for this and top driver booked. Nice draw and top selection here
Connie Jaccka (7) Not much form but better than that. Could surprise at longer odds
Arlo Maguire (3) Getting fitter with racing. Good top three chance in this with luck

Race 2

Jenny Gump (6) Gets a front row draw to work with here and has gate speed. Should go close
Sherwood Maggie (7)Solid finish for third last start and conditions suit here. Has to be included
Whata Razzle Dazzle (4) Back to pacing after a luckless stint at trotting. Fit and could surprise

Race 3

Timmy Turtle (1) Manners will be the key but has speed. Gets his chance here with no mistakes
Rewiri Hill (5) Not much form but better than that. Could surprise after a freshen up. Include
Action Packed (2) Has form and only needs to trot all the way to be a threat. Top three chance

Race 4

Janaka’s Delight (2) Mobile will help for this. Stable respect and top selection here. Needed
Rata (3) Building a solid formline and small field will help. Good third last start and can place
Another Demon (1) Has the ability and ace draw helps. Should give a good account here

Race 5

Gems Delight (6) Solid second last start and wide draw the only concern. Top three player
Cruising Fontana (4) Previous form is mixed. Ok draw and placed on the track. One for odds
Lottie’s Luck (1) Big upgrade in draws. Has been ok in similar fields and top driver booked

Race 6

Sodoyahavtime (1) Big downgrade in class for this. Chance of getting into the winners circle
Rylan Charlie (3) Will be helped by the draw and good second last time. Good chance here
Foxing Easton (5) Nice second last start and getting fitter. Harder here but top three chance

Race 7

Ward Lamon (2) Nice draw for this. Best form in this race and has to be respected again here
Pounamu (8) Tricky draw but has the ability. Stronger this time in and one of the better chances
Southside Of Heaven (4) Good win on debut and can take the next step up. Top three chance 

Race 8

Jordy (8) Conditions suit and has the form on the board. Wide draw the only concern here.
Mr President (2) Getting better with racing and will position close to the speed. Can place again
Brookies Player (9) Decent form and loves the track. Place chance here with any luck in transit.

Race 9

Durrant (4) Racing well recently in harder fields. Track suits and can go close to winning here
Sporty Charlie  (3) Better than the form suggests and due to get back in the placings. Include
Magic Sign (6) Could go forward today and might stick on. Top three chance in this field
