Harness racing hits Invercargill again today with ten races on the card. The racing starts at 3:04pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good afternoon of racing.

Best Bet:  R4  Music Mistress

Best Value:  R10  Magnetic Beckers

Race 1

Always Dreaming (1) Has showed big potential at trials. Should be hard to beat here
Franco Ezra (2) Stable respect and also trialling like an early winner. Needed here
Drummershavtime (5) Widest draw and might go back to last early. Place chance

Race 2

Xerion (1) Has looked capable at trials and drawn to be a factor here. Top selection
Huckleberry (3) Still green but has a decent motor. Should go close here with manners
Wattle Hill (2) Drawn to race handy but will need to trot all the way. Winning claims

Race 3

Bonnie’s Girl (2) Going on her trials and reputation she will likely win this. Top selection
Gems Delight (6) Has workout  form. Can run top three here with a good run in transit
Northview Sweet (7) Racing well in similar fields. Should go close to placing here

Race 4

Music Mistress (6) Only just pipped last 50m last start in quick time. Needed here
Captains Mistress (5) Trialling like an early winner and has to be respected fresh. Include
Justanothersip (7) Ok in latest trial but probably only running for top three or four here.

Race 5

Dawson (6) Good form and will start a short priced favourite. Very hard to beat.
Scott (5) Has had excuses in some of his runs and better than that. Could surprise
Opinion (11) Badly drawn but has form in similar fields. Chance with a good trip

Race 6

Winning Bones (2) Normally a good beginner and racing well. Hard to run down here
Son Of The Cleaner (5) Tidy second last start and conditions suit. Winning claims
Imperial Man (9) Might get a soft trip on the markers and could run into the placings

Race 7

Get Kraken (2) Better draw and good enough to win this with his best run. Needed here
Emerald Abbey (1) Has disappointed the last few starts but drawn to suit. Can win
Magic Sign (9) Out of form but should get a soft trip and top driver booked. Include

Race 8

Sweet Diamond (7) Better run last start and capable of wining this. Top selection
Advance Party (6) Beat a similar field last start. Draw makes it tough but has claims
Joes Rock (8) At her best would go close to winning here. Quick beginner and needed

Race 9

Quaddie VC (2) Top driver booked and distance suits as does the track. Hard to hold out
Always Ticking (5) Freshened but has been racing good fields prior. In the mix here
Mr Cash Man (7) Draw hurts but due to get back in form. Top three chance with luck

Race 10

Magnetic Beckers (5) Conditions suit and should give a good account from the draw
Duke Of Scotland (2) Unlucky last start and better draw. One of the better chances
Nyla (1) Getting better with racing and drawn to receive a good trip. Go again here
