Harness racing hits Invercargill again today with nine races on the card. The racing starts at 12:40pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good day of racing.

Race 1

Kohli Trouble (1) Hasn’t had all favours recently but in good form. Top selection in this field
Kyle Loch (2) Driver change for this.  Small field helps and he has top three claims in this
Galleons Future (6) Honest beginner and improver here. Can run into the placings again

Race 2

Close  (3) Conditions suit and drawn to lead early. Looks one of the better chances in this
Kawatiri Creek (11) Second row draw but top driver booked. Stable reputation and can feature
Major Envy (4) Freshened but showed ability last campaign. Good enough to figure in this

Race 3

Grubscrew (10) Has been racing well at trials and stable respect on debut runner. Needed
Darin (7) Racing well and draw the only concern. Good top three chance in this field
Oh No Nana (5) Stable get them running quickly. Not the worst at longer odds

Race 4

Ellz Angel (5) Conditions suit and will be running home strongly. Can go close here if handy
Chezz Dale (2) Back into a decent draw. Can run top three with a good run in transit
Fireforefiddle (7) Wide draw but top driver in sulky. Needs a strong pace to show his best

Race 5

Dwindle Star (2) Quick beginner who has raced in better fields. Winning claims here
Sally Lindenny (1) Race form good and only needs to trot early to be a threat here. Include
Abacardi Hazel (8) A bit in or out but has speed. Can run top three with a good trip

Race 6

Takeitout (3) Fought well last start and will be improved. Might press forward early. Needed
Betting Sensation (4) Quick beginner who raced well last start. Top three chance in this field
What A Minx (9) Drawn inside second row but top driver booked. Hard to beat with gaps

Race 7

Advance Party (7) Nice runs the last couple. Better than these and should be winning. Needed
Sporty Charlie (6) Out of form but at his best goes close. Needs the right trip but can win
Quaddie VC (4) Freshened but races well in that condition. Not the worst in this and can place

Race 8

Miki Knows (6) Disappointed last start but better than that. Major player in this. Top selection
Hazer (5) Good win last start but this is harder. Quick beginner and can run top three again
Wattlebank Arnie (2) Up in grade for this but good enough to feature. Top three claims

Race 9

Dreams Are Free (14) Track suits and draw only concern here. Winning claims with luck
Verlander (13) In good form and should run a handy race again. Draw hurts but top three claims
Durrant (5) In good form and should run a cheekyrace again if he stays handy. Needed
