Harness racing hits Invercargill again today with 10 races on the card. The racing starts at 3:37pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good day of racing.

Best Value:  R4 Jenny Gump

Race 1

Muscle Dash (8) Better run last start for second after breaking. Should run top three with manners
Glendhu Mischief (2) Small field will help and top driver booked. Manners needed but can improve
Don’t Stop Believing (7) Has the motor to win but needs to trot all the way. Can win but is a risk early

Race 2

Rakaquattro (4) In form with top driver on board and easier here. Looks hard to beat in this field
Anita Mary (8) Nearly won on debut and will be fitter. Should run top three and can go one better
Route Sixty Six (8) Improver from his last start and weaker field. Trials have been good. Needed

Race 3

Aspirational Dream (5) Looked back to her best last start and driver change. Good run expected
Majesdix (7) Ok last start and a threat to these with a good run in transit. One of the main hopes
Krackaling (6) Only fair last start but weaker field for this. Can sneak into the top three with luck

Race 4

Jenny Gump (1) Solid third last start and a winning chance again from the draw. Ideally placed
Sherwood Maggie (6) Has gate speed and goes well the track. Top driver on and has to be included
Superfast (9) Out of form but improver with a place chance at longer odds with any gaps late

Race 5

Julie Jaccka (7) Needs to bring her manners but has the speed to go close. Top selection in this
Bring On The Muscle (8) Had excuses last start and well placed here. Good each way chance
Xerion (4) Will be fitter after last start win and gets a head start on main rivals. Include here

Race 6

Munroe’s Mate (2) Good draw and looks the early leader on a leaders track. Form reversal
Haley Jaccka (12) Terrible draw but has claims with a cart into the race. Will need a bit of luck
Deny Everything (8) Due to show form and wide draw the only concern. Driver change. Needed

Race 7

On The Wing (4) Gets a head start on the favourites. Could surprise fresh and top driver on
Showcase (3) Up in grade but should go close to placing in this with a soft trip. Winning claims
Jaccka Evan (10) In good form and should get a good through early. Top three chance here

Race 8

Off The Canvas (3) Running on well late last start and looks hard to beat from the draw.
Side Hustle (8) Decent motor and improving. One of the better chances and can run top three
Capital Jay (6) Not far away last start. Will continue to improve and place hope with the right trip

Race 9

Rakavenom (8) Tricky draw but top driver on and winning claims if they turn it into a staying test
Always B Royal (2) Decent motor and is drawn well here. Upset claims with a good run in transit
Close (9) Hardly ever out of the top four. Will continue to improve and place hope again here

Race 10

Babe On The Beach (5) On the way up and driver change. Has to be respected and needed here
Durrant (6) Wider draw but better than most in this field. Could provide the upset with a good trip
Rylan Charlie (4) Can do some work mid race. Could surprise if he pushed to the lead early. Bolter
