Harness racing hits Invercargill again today with 9 races on the card. The racing starts at 4:12pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good afternoon of racing.

Best Bet:  R4  Skinny Dippin

Best Value:  R7  Hobbs

Race 1

Shergar (5) Only fair last start back on grit will help. Should run top three in this
Arista (4) Small field will help and should begin quickly. One of the better chances
Hokonui Joel (1) Has been freshened and gets a head start on favourites. Win chance

Race 2

Nubliah Chamay (5) Quick beginner who likes a sprint trip. Has to be included
Ah Dinnae Ken (3) In great from before a spell. Should give a good account fresh
Xerion (1) Improver from his last start and only needs manners to be a good chance

Race 3

Eragon (7) Usually running on in his races and good run expected with a clean start
Franco Hefner (4) Galloped on debut but previous trials have been good. Can atone
Garonne (2) Nice effort last start and better draw. Can sneak into the top three with luck

Race 4

Skinny Dippin (1) Big run on debut a winning chance again from the draw. Top selection
Byllee J (8) Has run a couple of good races recently. Place hope with a good run in transit
Havtimefordiamonds (5) Better run last start and has top three claims here at longer odds

Race 5

The Orange Roughy (5) Fought on well late last start in a stronger field. Top selection
He’s Tough (1) Had excuses last start and well placed here. Good each way chance
Wavewatcher (3) Will be fitter after last start. Has gate speed and should get a soft trip.

Race 6

Leithen Louie (2) Great form and likely leader in the race. Top driver on and can go close
Bobbies Rock (4) Had excuses last start and well placed here. One for longer odds here
Magnetic Beckers (1) Will be fitter after last start. Trailing draw and should get a soft trip.

Race 7

Hobbs (8) Driver change for this. Hard to beat against this lot if he brings his manners
La Dama (3) Should get a soft run handy. Winning claims from the draw. Has to be included
Jaccka Jim (10) Big motor but the manners are lacking. Hard to beat if he steps cleanly

Race 8

Always B Royal (8) Wide draw but will be running on. Top three claims with a cart into it
Durrant (2) Decent motor and is drawn well here. Expect a better run from the draw.
Tashs Bad Girl (3) Disappointing last start. Has place claims at longer odds if at her best

Race 9

Rakamick (2) Likely to go forward early here. Conditions suit and is a top three player
Rakavenom (4) Decent motor and is drawn well here. One of the better chances in this
Anita Mary (10) Tidy win last start. Will continue to improve and win hope again here
