Kaikoura selections 30th October 2023

Best Bet:  R7   Aardiebythehill

Best Value:  R4   Tempo Warrior

Race 1

Styx Jewel (7) Much better last start. Has the ability and can improve further. Needed
Create Time (2) On debut but sharp at trials. Looks a good chance with manners
Osmium (9) Broke last start but respect the stable. Can run top three with no mistakes

Race 2

Mossdale Margaret (9) Conditions suit and fence run helps. Will be running on late.
Kairaki Confidential (3) Not much luck on debut. One of the better chances in this
Eyeliner (7) Tricky draw but can work in her races. Winning claims here. Include

Race 3

Emily (6) Good win last start and quick beginner. Nice chance here with a similar effort
What The Bell (4) Racing well and drops in class for this. Has to be included here
Light Of Da Moon (9) Freshened and could race handy. Win chance with no mistakes

Race 4

Tempo Warrior (1) Likely to get a good run from the draw. Winning claims with a soft lead
Shepherds Delight (5) Freshened and quick beginner. Should give a good account in this
Smoke On The Water (8) Tricky draw but small field will help. Will be finishing fast here

.

Race 5

Tu Tangata (7) In good form and track should suit. Has to be respected in this field
The Bloss (1) Tidy draw and looks the leader in the race. Good top three chance here.
Maui (4) Out of form but only needs a good trip in transit to be a threat. Include

Race 6

Celtic Spirit (7) Nice win last start but wide draw. Good chance if he gets handy
Harrison (3) Might be the early leader here. Needs the right trip but can go close in this
Double Time (4) Out of form but was unlucky last start. Better luck takes him close

Race 7

Aardiebythehill (1) Good form and good beginner. Should race near the front and can win
Oscar Bonavena (9) Nice win last start. Should be improved for this and top driver booked
Time Up The Hill (7) Better last start. Improved effort can take her close to the placings

Race 8

Old Town Road (6) Good win last start and major player in this. Top selection for me
Heza Sport (3) Out of form but quick beginner. Top three chance at longer odds in this
Akuta (2)
Should start hot favourite and big win last start. Hard to beat again here

Race 9

Jimmy James Maguire (3) Punching above his weight and draw helps. Top selection
Lester (1) Good win last start. Good draw and can run top three again with luck
Anything Goes (7) Third in this race last year. Tricky handicap but has winning claims
