Kapiti Coast selections 6th January 2025

Best Bet:  R1  Tres Bonne Fille

Best Value:  R4  Benjamin Button

Race 1

Tres Bonne Fille (4) Big finish on the first day was good. Can go close here with improvement
Play The Ace (5) Solid first day run for third. Chance with a good run in transit. Include here
Miss Woodville (1) Getting better with racing and better draw to work with. Place chance

Race 2

Mr Monty (7) Goes ok on grass and in form on Palmerston North circuit. Has to be included
Highview Rockn Roll (10) Fitter and was going to place on the first day before a late gallop.
Cool Phelan (4) Improver from her last start where she was checked late. Top three chance here

Race 3

Whitfield (2) Looked impressive last start and a similar run would see him go close again here
Baileys Pitch (1) Ok last start and a threat with a soft run on the pegs. Winning claims in this
Call Security (6) Disappointing last start but grass stats excellent. Can sneak into the top three

Race 4

Benjamin Button (8) Back in grade and a winning chance on grass. Might be too fast for them
Megyn Kelly (4) Tidy win on the first day. Should give a good account again with a similar effort
Eddie Osei (3) Back in form and a place chance at longer odds if he can get his own way in front

.

Race 5

What A Minx (8) Fought on last start after a tough run. Good chance but will need a good trip
Caulfield (1) Had excuses last start and well placed here from the draw. Each way claims here
Victor Bravo (7) Galloped when about to run into it last start. Has a big finish with the right trip
