Harness racing hits Oamaru again today with ten races on the card. The racing starts at 12:35pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good day of racing.

Race 1

Rebound (3) Runs have been ok without much luck. Hard to beat in this field
Loubowski (1) Trainer has a good reasonable record with debut runners. Include
Sophie (4) Good late run last start and should be improved. Winning claims

Race 2

Denver (3) Great at trials before galloping on debut. Needs manners but big motor
Caen (1) Tidy finish for second last start Should run top three with luck
Ellatine (5) Plenty of trotting ability and good run last start. Needed here

Race 3

Trouble Supreme (6) Likely to go forward early and good formline. Needed here
Secret Cocktail (5) Ran well last start and will be near the speed early. Include
James Cagney (8) Been racing better fields and not had much luck. Could surprise

Race 4

Sneak A Peek (2) Has been disappointing but drawn handy. Should go close in this
Dalness Arizona (6) Better last start and top driver on board. Has gate speed. Include
Songbird (5) Getting better with racing and this field suits. Good chance

Race 5

La Reina Del Sur (1) Ok form in stronger fields and drawn to suit. Should be right in it
Petronelli Gee (4) Fresh runner who has beaten better fields in the past. Rates highly
Majestic Whisper (12) Running on ok last start. One for longer odds in this

Race 6

Katherine (8) Has been consistent and this race suits again. Can win back to back
Mighty Reactor (5) Freshened and has raced ok here in the past. Place chance here
Missmollygoodgolly (7) Tricky draw but has been racing ok in good fields. Not the worst

Race 7

The Rage (3) Plenty of ability and driver in good form. Top chance in this field
Judgement Bay (2) Not disgraced first start and drawn to lead. Winning claims
Deceptive Lee (8) Freshened and has a big motor. Might be a run short but include here

Race 8

Repeat Pat (6) Ok last start and might be close to the speed here. Liked
Jimmy Carter (9) Manners a concern but big on ability. Can go close with no mistakes
Fighting Fire (5) Might head forward to early and nice fourth last start. Win chance here  

Race 9

Jimmy Arma (5) Good beginner whop should race handy. Major player in this race
Corravally Star (9) Coming in fresh but conditions suit. Can run top three with luck
Hazer (8) Racing well in strong Canterbury fields. Will need gaps but can place

Race 10

Brother John (4) Looks the early leader and will be in it for a long way. Include
The Conqueror (8) Good beginner who would be a threat if he was close to the speed.
Grinning Again (1) Drawn to get a soft run on the fence. Chance at long odds
