Harness racing hits Manawatu again today with 8 races on the card. The racing starts at 5:10pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good night of racing.

Race 1

Princess Lisa (4) Stable respect here and not far away on day one. Has to be included in this
Kawactus (5) Long priced winner on the first day. Good chance but will not be paying 71s tonight
Dream On Lou (1) Much better draw and winning claims with a good run in transit. Needed

Race 2

Five Monkeys (4) Good run for second on the first day and can go one better here. Must include
So Mystifying (7) Depends on early manners but a definite winning chance here. Win or bust
Scoots (6) New to the meeting and weaker field. One for longer odds with a safe beginning

Race 3

Pretty Boy (6) Ran time winning on day one and should do a good job here tonight. Go again
Cyamate (10) Battled last start after a tough run but a threat to these with a better trip. Include
Million Dollar Chic (11) Running on last start but tricky draw. Can sneak into the top three with luck

Race 4

Matai Harry (11) Just missed on day one and this looks a better draw for his racing style. Good chance
Melton Mogul (1) Has gate speed and goes well the track. Drawn to be one of the better chances
Jahi (3) Fine run of recent form and drawn well. Place chances again with a good run in transit.

Race 5

Koko Kaboom (6) Comfortable win last start in a similar field. Goes well on the track. Needed here
Johnny Who (9) Beat a good field last start but tricky handicap. Win chance if he gets handy quickly
Manchester In Time (8) Will be fitter after last start. Goes well on the track and can improve here

Race 6

Captain Kobe (3) Unlucky on day one and better draw. Hard to beat with a soft trip. Needed here
Twista (5) Looks like he will have to do some work again but has the toughness to fight out the finish.
Rough And Ready (7) Drawn wide here but sat parked and won well here on the first day. Go again

Race 7

Silent Theory (7) Better run last start and still improving. Should go close to winning this. Needed
Major Moonshine (3) Tough run but stuck on well the first day. Another top three finish beckons
Lincoln Downs (4) At her best would go close to placing here. Top three chance with a soft trip

Race 8

S S Guppy (6) Worked hard but fought well on day one. Looks one of the better chances in this
Lincoln Maree (3) Needs manners but does have a bit of speed. Could surprise if things go her way
Rattle My Cage (1) Disappointing last start. Weaker field and has the best draw. Worth including
