Harness racing hits Manawatu again today with nine races on the card . The racing starts at 4:19pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good night of racing.

Best Value:  R4  Jazzy Styx

Race 1

Tinkerbelle (5) Has been disappointing but change of stable and weaker field. Include
Bangkok Betty (2) Should begin quickly and has been racing better fields. Needed here
Monaro Meg (1) Getting better with racing and gets a head start on favourites. Has claims

Race 2

Scott (3) Freshened and better than the form suggests. Track will suit and has to be included
Rutherford (1) Has early speed to be one of the leaders and stable change. Good chance
Cheval Noir (7) Improver from her last start and big stable change. Expect a better run here

Race 3

Boyz Invasion (2) Freshened and goes well on the track. Can go close to winning this
Highview Rockn Roll (4) Good win last start and a threat to the favourites with a good trip
Quercus Rubra (6) Normally a quick beginner. Can sneak into the top three with luck here

Race 4

Jazzy Styx (3) Solid finish last start and a winning chance from the draw. Can run top three
Mike Ross (6) Has gate speed and has raced some good age group fields. Should give a sight
Midfrew Lucre (1) Has the best draw and a place chance at longer odds with a soft run

Race 5

Boudica (7) Impressive last start win and has been freshened. Good beginner and is needed
Rough And Ready (9) Had excuses last start and well placed here. Good each way chance
Leo Lincoln (4) Likes this way around and only needs manners to be a top three chance

Race 6

Follow Me Fantasy (7) Has been disappointing but stable change for this. Needed here
Onetangi Girl (6) Should get a soft run handy. Likely leader who will be hard to run down
Benjamin Button (5) Due to show form and drawn ok here. Driver change and can upset

Race 7

Captain Kobe (8) Draw hurts but has raced better fields. Winning chance with any gaps
Onyx Shard (4) Should get a run through early. Might need a soft lead but respect in this
Goorambat Art (6) Wide draw but trainer change and winning claims with a cart into it

Race 8

Doctor Tim (3) Goes well on the track and trainer respect. Can go close here. Needed
Blue Chip Lou (1) Gets a good draw and has won from a trailing position. Winning claims
Lincoln La Moose  (6) In good form but wide draw to contend with here. Top three chance

Race 9

Matai Lizzie (3) Not bad the last few runs and trainer change. Top selection in this. Include
Dixieland Delight (1) Decent motor and is drawn well here. One of the better chances
Miki’s Moment (2) Better run last start. Will continue to improve and place hope again here
