Harness racing hits Manawatu again today with eight races on the card. The racing starts at 3:04pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good afternoon of racing.

Race 1

Mr Monty (5) Galloped last start but goes well here. Hard to beat here with manners
Storms Acoming (3) Good beginner who looks well placed in this. Should run top three
Henrik Lundqvist (1) Has a bit of speed and only the start is a concern. Chance if he steps

Race 2

Love Is Everywhere (1) Has been disappointing but trainer track stats are impressive. Needed
Sans Au Revoir (2) Drops in class for this and hard to beat with a safe beginning. Include
Manchester In Time (6) Manners not great but quick improver for this. Has winning claims

Race 3

Narobi (1) Top driver booked and can go close to placing from the draw. Top selection in this
Dom Toretto  (8) Had excuses last start and drawn in behind possible leader. Has to be included
Fredastaire (4) Has gate speed and drawn ok. Can run top three here with a good run in transit

Race 4

Cracker Rock (3) Raced ok here when last on the track. Even field but has winning claims here
Ha’penny (1) No luck last start. Best draw for some time and can place at longer odds. Include
Morere (8) In good form and should get a soft pegs run. Will go close with gaps in the straight.

Race 5

Doctor Tim (8) Goes well the track and back in form. Good chance with a cart into the race
Benjamin Button (4) No luck last start. Win chance if he is close enough on the turn. Include
No Added Sugar (1) Drawn to be a major player in this field. Should race handy and can place.

Race 6

Amelia Rose (1) Out of form but freshened and could surprise from the ace draw. Include here
Call Security (2) Has been disappointing the last couple but could surprise with the right trip.
Obadiah Dragon (4) Might go forward early and easy winner when last here. Win chance in this

Race 7

Commander Lincoln (2) Bit unlucky last start and trainer usually does well on the track. Include
Semba (4) Tidy win here last start and has been freshened. Speedy horse who has winning claims
Victor Bravo (1) Stable does well on the track. Drawn to get a soft run and not the worst in this

Race 8

Warloch (5) Has a big finish and small field helps. Can run over the top of them if the pace is on
Superstar Legend (3) Looks the likely early leader with top driver booked. Will stick on here
Clear Left (1) At his best would go close to placing. Ace draw gives him a place chance in this
