Harness racing hits Manawatu again today with eight races on the card. The racing starts at 5:31pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good night of racing.

Race 1

Manchester In Time (6) Tough win on day one. Should be improved and can win again
Slainte (4) Good runs in recent races. Normally steps ok and conditions suit here. Needed
Johnny Who (2) Manners needed but a chance with a good run in transit. Leading driver on

Race 2

Our Pegasus Pearl (4) Not far from winning on day one and top driver booked. Top selection
Trifolium (6) Getting close to a win and conditions suit again. Should go close to winning
Storms Acoming (2) Close up day one and can go close to top three with a similar effort

Race 3

Lord Delmar (2) Stable does well on the track and not much luck last start. Needed here
Rakero Scotty (1) Easy win on day one and much better draw for this. Has to be included
Benjamin Button (5) Extra distance will suit. Broke when going ok day one. Chance at odds

Race 4

Eastwood Dream (7) Tough win the first night and extra distance suits. Top selection here
Call Security (2) Running on last start and better draw for this. One of the better chances
Stealers Wheel (1) Not the worst in this after a solid run the first night. Has top three claims

Superstar Legend (6) Could be the leader and will take some catching. Go again in this
Warloch (5) Tidy run last start and conditions suit here. Will need luck but can win
Invisible (2) Running on late the first night. Top three claims with a good run in transit

Race 6

Bettor Grunter (5) Extra distance suits and ok draw here. Winning claims with luck
Raging Whitebait (8) Best runs have been from near the front. Drawn to need luck
Voodoo Prince (10) Not a lot of room when it mattered last start. Will be running on

Race 7

Semba (7) Only just pipped on day one. Looks well placed here. Top selection in this
Cracker Rock (5) Improver who was running on ok on debut. Weaker field here. Include
Pennys First Flight (1) Drawn for a soft run in transit. Place chance at longer odds

Race 8

Secrets Abound (4) Had the race won before galloping last start. Looks hard to beat
Narobi (3) Better run last start. Will not need much improvement to go close in this
Apple Of My Eye (2) Has the gate speed to lead and trialed ok. Can run top three here
