Harness racing hits Manawatu again today with seven races on the card. The racing starts at 12:24pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good day of racing.

Best Value:  R2   Dark Eclipse

Race 1

Petronelli Gee (4) Not a bad run on day one and a danger with a quicker beginning. Include here
Love Is Everywhere (2) Likely to receive a good run from the draw. Can run top three with luck
Highview Rockn Roll (7) Beat most of these on the first night and fitter. Winning claims again

Race 2

Dark Eclipse (8) Impressive run for second last start and draw the only concern. Hard to beat
Riverboy Ben (5) Did it hard on night one but fought well. Good chance with a better run in transit
Stamp Duty (3) Conditions suit and several gear changes. Can surprise with the right trip

Race 3

Pennys First Flight (1) Goes best from the front. Drawn to lead again and hard to beat.
Smokin Gun (2) Ok the first day and similar field. Good chance again here
Juliette Shard (7) Never far away from the placings but tough draw. Place claims

Race 4

Daisy Duke (5) Tidy win the first night and this not much stronger. Has to rate highly
Clymenus (1) Better last start and likely to get a cosy trip. Can run top three in this
Rory McIlroy (2) Getting better with racing and weaker field here. Top three player

Race 5

Luminite (2) Good win from a similar draw the first day. Looks hard to beat in this field
Full Of Desire (1) Ok last start and draw upgrade. Good top three chance here
The Cobbler (9) Has a good finish when saved for one run. Winning claims with the right trip

Race 6

Run Mason Run (2) Drawn well here and possible early leader. Could stick on well here
Grinning Again (4) Goes best from the front and a big chance if he can cross here. Needed
Raging Whitebait (1) Goes well on the track and should get a run through early. Chance

Race 7

Sharp Lou (4) Top win on day one. Tougher field here but still will be hard to beat
Franco Hoffman (6) Has run some good races on the track and tough run the first day. Include
Smokinhotcheddar (5) Has a bit of gate speed and could lead here. Beat this field on day one
