Harness racing hits Manawatu again today with seven races on the card . The racing starts at 5:29pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good night of racing.

Best Bet:  R1 Ann Sophie

Best Value:  R2  Ha’penny

Race 1

Ann Sophie (3) Has raced better fields and suited here. Should run top three in this
Onyx Shard (2) Small field will help and should begin quickly. Stable respect. Needed
Benson Dude (8) Should get a soft pegs run in this. Place chance at longer odds

Race 2

Ha’penny (6) Wide draw but has a big finish with one run at them. Has to be included
Proviseur (2) Has early speed to be one of the leaders and will be fitter. One for longer odds
Enya Franco (5) Improver from her last start and weaker field. Top three chance here

Race 3

Megyn Kelly (1) No luck last start doing too much work. Better run expected from the ace
Lincoln La Moose (3) Ok last start and a threat to the favourite with a good run in transit
The Beach House (6) Good effort last start but wide draw. Likely to start favourite here

Race 4

Beta Prepare (4) Solid second last start and a winning chance again with his gate speed
Executive Banner (7) Has won his last two impressively but this is harder. Needed again
Lord Delmar (1) Consistent form and a place chance here from the best draw. Include

Race 5

Jaccka Baylis (8) Has won his last two but tricky handicap. Will go close with a quick start
Bevron (7) Consistent and should give a good sight again here. Good each way chance
Quercus Rubra (6) Will be fitter after last start. Can begin quickly and could surprise

Race 6

Terrormylove (5) Stable respect in this and weak field. Hard to beat against this lot
Bell Fire (3) Should get a soft run handy. Winning claims with any improvement. Include
Jetasi (4) Always around the top four and this is no different. Has to be included here

Race 7

Miracle Memphis (7) Draw hurts but this looks easier than his last start competition.
Betterthanbabe (4) Should get a run through early. On debut but has to be included
Final Change (5) Getting better with racing. Will capitalize if the favourite makes a mistake.
