Harness racing hits Manawatu again today with eight races on the card. The racing starts at 5:06pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good night of racing.

Race 1

Slainte (6) Galloped when he had them covered on day one. Can go close to winning with manners
Mr Monty (1) Getting better with racing and finished well the first night. Needed here
Trifolium (3) Going well in similar fields and hampered in the straight last start. Winning claims

Race 2

Boyz Invasion (5) Racing well and drawn to take advantage early again. Top selection
Highview Rockn Roll (10) Has good ability and will not need much improvement to go close in this
Ya Know (1) Fresh to the meeting and good form on the track. Can improve quickly

Race 3

Changealot (3) Mobile and sprint trip suit. Good winning claims here with slight improvement
Sharkntatties (1) Nice fence draw and racing well against similar fields. Can run top three
Rockafilly (8) Better last start and draw should suit. Can run top three with gaps in the straight

Race 4

Turnpike Joe (7) Looked a bit green but will improve plenty off the first night run. Top selection
Conor McGregor (8) Running on well in this field last start. Should go close to placing again here
That Maj Ya Look (4) Not much room last start and different tactics here. Could surprise in this

Race 5

Village Rebel (6) Strikes a wide draw but good stayer in form. Good chance with luck in the running
Bad Medicine (7) Tough win on day one and should go close to going back to back here. Needed
Bettor Grunter (1) Drawn well and could trail all the way. Top three chance at longer odds

Race 6

Doctor Tim (10) Got back on a hot pace the first night but ran on. One of the better chances in this
Voodoo Prince (1) Big draw upgrade for this and . One for longer odds in this field from the ace
Santanna Mach (8) Stable on fire at the moment and can place despite the tricky second row draw

Race 7

Full Of Desire (9) Good second last start and looks a major player in this. Top selection
Pacing Hope (2) Ok last start and should improve. Gate speed to lead and then trail here
No Added Sugar (6) Wide draw but fresh to the meeting. Good chance on his Auckland form

Race 8

Medina Magic (2) Drawn to lead here and has to be a good chance if she gets her own terms in front.
Call Security (1) Raced well in a better field last start. Drawn gives him options and can place
Mr President (5) Good form and likes to race handy. Good chance with a similar run here
