Harness racing hits Manawatu again today with 8 races on the card . The racing starts at 4:10pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good night of racing.

Best Bet:  R8  Nickel And Dime 

Best Value:  R6  Oakley Shard

Race 1

Captains Secret (2) Big drop in class for this and drawn well. Will start a short favourite in this
Matai Harry (1) Small field will help and should begin quickly from the draw. Stable respect here
Dixieland Delight (6) Getting better with racing and loves the track. Place chance again

Race 2

Cyamate (6) Stable does well on the track and debuted in a strong field. Has to be included here
Tweedy (4) Has early speed to be one of the leaders and from an astute stable. Winning claims
Shezabettorgirl (5) Improver from her last start and stable change gets our attention. Top three 

Race 3

Delightful Chic (3) Ideally drawn and freshened for tonight’s race. Good run expected in this
Terrormylove (5) Ok last start and a threat to the favourite with a good run in transit. Include
Kevin Kline (9) Good effort last start and should get a run through from the draw. Can sneak a place 

Race 4

Leo Lincoln (4) Solid second when last here and a win chance again from the draw. Include in this
Iron Brigade (6) Big chance with early manners after racing some strong fields. Should give a sight
Avenger (1) Better run last start for second and an improver with a place chance at longer odds

Race 5

Koko Kaboom (3) Big respect on her track stats going three from three. Top selection in this
Jaccka Baylis (4) Had excuses last start and well placed here. Good each way chance here
Elizabeth Hill (6) Freshened but goes well enough to be a threat in this. Has to be included

Race 6

Oakley Shard (9) Stable change to the House team for this. Should give a good account. Needed
Benjamin Button (1) Should get a soft run handy. Winning claims from the draw.. Good chance
Colin McBride (8) Due to show form and draw the only issue. Driver change and chance with gaps

Race 7

Eagle Hanover (6) Goes ok on the track. Will need manners but could surprise if he found the front
Kenny Hill (5) Freshened but should go close to placing in this based on previous runs. Has claims
Saxon Reigns (1) Should get a good run near the speed. Top three chance at longer odds in this field

Race 8

Nickel And Dime (1) Finally gets a draw and much weaker field than recent runs. Top selection here
S S Guppy (3) Decent motor and is drawn well here. One of the better chances and stable respect
Skys Legacy (2) Disappointing last start. Freshened and can run top three with a soft run in transit
