Harness racing hits Manawatu again today with nine races on the card. The racing starts at 3:40pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good afternoon of racing.

Race 1

Highview Rockn Roll (12) Disappointing here last start but good runs prior. Has to rate highly
Romeo Foxtrot (11) Last few runs have been good and begins well. Need to include here
Break Free (8) Has been racing ok in similar fields and small field helps. One for longer odds

Race 2

Petronelli Gee (5) Back in winning form and can go on with it here. One of the major players
Love Is Everywhere (8) Getting better with racing and conditions suit. Can run top three
Littlebitoflove (1) Ok last start at Cambridge and has placed here. Chance at longer odds

Race 3

Sweet Chevron (13) Good second here last start in a similar field. Top three player again
Boris Yeltsin (1) Has been a bit average but drawn to get a soft run. Can run in the money
Louie V Tonne (10) Drawn to get a run through early. Out of form but worth throwing in

Race 4

Jazzy Styx (2) Has the best for in this field and stable do well here. Top selection in this
Pennys First Flight (4) Quick beginner who might try to lead here. Winning claims
Kingswood (1) Racing stronger fields in recent runs. Can run top three with luck.

Race 5

Hesashorething (12) First look at the track but capable of beating this field if he leads.
Run Mason Run (3) Races well on the track and another who could go close from the front.
New York Minute (1) Top win beating a strong field last start. Needs a quick beginning

Race 6

Pacing Hope (1) Racing well and well suited in this field. Good chance from the back row
Rory McIlroy (9) Wide draw but when right is speedy. Can run top three if he goes forward
Ticking Over (6) Ok last start and has gate speed. Place chances here from the ace draw.

Race 7

Grinning Again (4) Drawn well and and might race close to the speed here. Winning claims
Changearound (6) Good run last start for second. This field looks within his range. Include
Luminite (11) Has raced well from similar draws in the past. Might try for a lead all the way

Race 8

Cristiano Buccini (5) Big upgrade in draws and capable of winning this. Needed
Hey Miki Denario (13) Tricky draw but ok last start in a stronger field. Rates highly
Constance Claire (4) Good fourth two starts ago. Should race well at longer odds

Race 9

I’llavabubbles (8) Nice draw and she can run time. Hard to run down in this. Include
Doctor Tim (3) Good win here last start and looks hard to beat again. Can run top three
Superstar Legend (7) Loves the track but wide draw. Might go close with the right trip
