Harness racing hits Manawatu again today with seven races on the card . The racing starts at 4:50pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good afternoon of racing.

Best Bet:  R2  Enzo

Best Value:  R3   Beta Prepare

Race 1

Tinkerbelle (5) Nice run last start and looks a good bet back at Manawatu. Good chance here
Scoots (1) Never far away and gets a head start on main rivals. Can upset with no mistakes
Quercus Rubra (9) Locally trained runner who goes best in front. Top three chance in this

Race 2

Enzo (1) Looked good running second last start and better draw. Tidy run expected. Include
Dixieland Delight (5) Ok last start and a threat to the favourite with a good run in transit
La Miki (2) Has a bit of speed and running on last start. Can sneak a top three from the draw

Race 3

Beta Prepare (4) Has gate speed and likely leader here. Winning chance with a soft trip
Lewey Maguire (1) Trailing draw and track will suit. Should give a good account from the ace
Goorambat Art (6) Improver with a place chance if he can get. a cart into it. One for odds

Race 4

Le Major (6) Drops in class and will go forward with aggressive driver. Looks hard to beat
Joes Rock (8) Had excuses last start and has a big finish. Good each way chance in this
Leo Lincoln (1) Best draw and small field will help. Should go a better race. Include here

Race 5

Ragnar Lothbrok (3) Good win last start but up in grade for this. Will be in the mix here
Kevin Kline (8) Should get a soft run on the pegs. Winning claims with gaps. Include
Run Mason Run (1) Due to show form and drawn well here. Might try for an all the way win

Race 6

Captain Kobe (4) Has not had a lot of luck and looks a good bet. Can go one better here
Follow Me Fantasy (1) Should get a run through early. Needs a trail and might get it here
Bugalugs (8) Pegs run likely and a chance with gaps. One for longer odds in this field.

Race 7

Baileys Pitch (2) Gets a head start on the favourites. Could upset with a good trip
Benson Dude (5) Tricky draw but should go close to placing in this. Will need some luck
Onetangi Girl (1) No form but has speed and has been unlucky. Top three chance
