Harness racing hits Methven again today with eleven races on the card. The racing starts at 12:29pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good day of racing.

Best Value:  R11  Motor Mouth

Race 1

Tilthesunsets (6) Good trial win on the track and freshened. Improving and hard to beat
Portelli (9) Change of trainer and better than the form suggests. Could surprise at odds
Penelope Hall (10) Racing ok in nice fields. Grass suits and top three chance here

Race 2

Sweet Spirit (5) Top driver booked and conditions suit over the sprint. Needed here
Searing Light (2) Drawn well and racing ok without luck. Upset chance at longer odds
Hit The Beach (1) Good beginner who finally gets a decent draw. Top three chance

Race 3

Sailor Boy (5) Good here at recent trials and stable does well with first starters. Include
Kawactus (6) Quick beginner who could get a cosy run. One for longer odds in this
Ultimate Counsel (2) Nice effort in a good field last start. Improver for this. Needed

Race 4

Randel Huston P (11) Has a big motor and ran on in grass track trial here. Top selection
Murano (1) Nice draw and could get a soft run on the pegs. Can run top three with luck
Racey Krusa (3) Grass suits and always thereabouts. Should step and stay handy

Race 5

Judgement Bay (6) Normally a quick beginner and sprint suits. Top selection in this
Times Are A Changin (8) Wide draw but goes well on the track. Chance at longer odds
Phone Tap (2) Freshened for this and might lead early. Could stick on for a place

Race 6

Megarock (4) Could be the early leader here. Can step and is a top three chance
The Craic (2) Plenty to like about maiden win but up in grade. Do not discount in this field
Rockenroll Graduate (1) Tidy draw and grass no issues. Top three player again here

Race 7

Moonlite Dream (5) Coming in fresh and does have gate speed. Top selection
Fernleigh Blackbird (8) Wide draw but grass suits and good last start. Winning claims
Maren Franco (9) Draw hurts but can run a cheeky race in this. Will be running on

Race 8

Flyaway (10) Has won on grass and gets a pegs draw for this. Chance at longer odds
Flo Motion (6) Has been tough the last few starts and better suited here. Good chance in this
Sir Monty (1) Nice draw but grass stats only fair. Could sneak a placing from the draw

Race 9

Ginas Majesty (2) Looked a run short last start so will be improved. Chance in an even field
The Ivy League (6) Trainer gets them ready and has won here. Needs manners but can win
Zsa Zoe (13) Tough handicap but good enough to run top three with a nice run in transit.

Race 10

Foveaux Gambler (4) Grass suits and he will be running on here. Can go close at good odds
Apatchofgold (3) Trialled ok on the track. Should give a good account in this. Include
Major Happy (11) Finished well last start in a stronger field. Good chance in this lineup

Race 11

Motor Mouth (7) Fast beginner and conditions suit in this. Hard to beat here
Sargent Best (12) Better than the form suggests. Needs the right trip but has claims
Oneloveonelife (3) Good second last start. One of the better chances in this field
