Harness racing hits Methven again today with eleven races on the card. The racing starts at 12:21pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good day of racing.

Race 1

One El (12) Racing well and only needs manners to be right in this. Needed
A Late Late Pressy (3) Begins well and has placed on the track. Include here
Rose Isle (2) Draws well and has gone some good races in the past. Could surprise

Race 2

Franco Tim (1) Has been very good at trials and drawn well. Winning claims
Major Purchase (11) Ok last start and has placed on the track. Will be finishing on
Jezebel (4) Galloped early last start but better than that. Rates highly here

Race 3

Choco Lou (5) Consistent and due a winning run. Top selection in this field
Kalasa (6) Has been unlucky in his races but well placed here. Chance with manners
Melton Militant (1) Racing well in similar fields and one of the major chances in this

Race 4

Classey Robin (3) Best draw for some time and racing well. Good winning chance
Gypsy (10) Could get a cosy run on the fence. Will be running on. Include
Buddy Reign (2) Getting fitter and quick off the gate. Should go close to top three

Race 5

Prince Ranier (1) Drawn well but out of form. Hard to beat with luck in transit
Rachmaninov (9) Ok last start and grass suits. Could lob a place with a cart into it
Tu Tangata (12) Up in grade but good enough to overcome the class rise. Include

Race 6

Bettor Believe It (9) Good beginner who should land handy. Winning claims
All By Myself (4) Getting better with racing but needs to step. Can win with luck
Taurus (2) Will be better for the last start effort. Trainer does well on the track

Race 7

Mataderos (9) Outside draw but should be too good if he trots all the way. Needed
The Dominator (6) Could be the early leader. Has won this race previously. Include
I Dream Of Jeannie (4) Up in grade but has speed on grass. Not the worst in this

Race 8

Celtic Spirit (2) Good draw and racing well. Can lead all the way in this
Homebush Lad (10) Grass suits and he will get the run he likes on the pegs. Needed
Shan Noble (9) Racing ok but tricky draw. One for longer odds in this field

Race 9

Woodbine Rocks (1) Gets the ace draw and steps cleanly. Should be thereabouts
Melania (3) Has good form and drawn to get a good run in transit. Include in this field
Kennedy (4) Quick beginner who will race near the speed. Could stick on for a place

Race 10

Zsa Zoe (11) Plenty of ability and likes the track. Can go close here with no mistakes
Test The Boundaries (1) Needs to step but in good form. One of the better chances
Fast Whispering (5) Did everything right last start and got the win. Could repeat

Race 11

Apatchofgold (2) Plenty of ability and drawn well. Can go close here if she leads
Sophia Bromac (10) Grass specialist who races well on the track. Place chance in this.
Alexis Rocket (13) Racing ok and top driver booked. Will be running on late in this
