Harness racing hits Methven again today with twelve races on the card. The racing starts at 11:42am and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good afternoon of racing.

Race 1

Practical Magic (5) In good form and grass no issue. Good chance here from nice draw
Monkeycmonkeydoo (6) Ok on debut. Looking for improvement. One for odds here
Jacks Mate (11) Good form previously and freshened for this. One of the better chances

Race 2

Megyn Kelly (1) Best draw so far. Should get a soft run and can place at longer odds
Itz All Fired Up (2) Has gone well on grass and trainer does well on the track. Needed
Verducci (8) Front row draw helps. Top three chance if he can get handy early. Include

Race 3

Kairaki Delight (1) Getting better with racing. Needs a quick start but has claims
Spectator (10) Quick beginner who will go forward early. Can run top three in this
Changeforthebeta (7) On debut but has trialled well. Has to be respected here

Race 4

Tane J J (3) Freshened and this looks ideal. Getting a good run is crucial to his chances
Franco Tim (1) Good beginner with conditions to suit. Can run top three at longer odds
Amelia Rose (10) Should race handy on the pegs. Can run home well with gaps here

Race 5

Brother Love (10) Has some good placings on grass. Can go close in this with luck
Barrytown (7) Normally steps well and should run somewhere around top four. Needed
Prince Ranier (6) Likes the track and a solid place chance with a safe beginning here

Race 6

Kashkeeper (4) Stable on fire and this one has form in good fields. Winning claims
Donttelltheboys (7) Racing ok without a lot of luck. Top three chance with the right trip
Piccadilly Pete (5) Gate speed to lead and good win last start. Will give a good sight

Race 7

Ruby’s A Delight (4) Form has tapered off but good grass stats and front row draw. Include
Fergalicious (11) Disappointing last start but can go close with the right trip. Needed
Krystal Delight (10) Ideal draw and look for a late finish. Winning claims at longer odds

Race 8

Tremendous Lover (10) Good effort last start and can go close from the pegs draw
Betterwithbling 3) Conditions suit and due a change of luck. Good place chance
Tanganyika (1) Nice draw and getting fitter. Stable does well on the track. Include

Race 9

Heza Sport (7) Conditions suit and should give a good account with a quick beginning
Here’s Herbie (10) Has been unlucky recently. Will run a good race on grass and can stay
Lester (3) Has been unlucky on several occasions now. Can win with the right trip. Include

Race 10

Style Council (2) Front row draw and racing well. Grass suits and has to be respected
Smart I Am (14) Had no chance last start but likes the grass surface. Can win with luck
Hazer (18) Ok last start. Improver here with the right run. One for longer odds in this

Race 11

Jasprit Trouble (3) Grass suits and has won on the track. Can go close here with manners
Buffy Northstains (1) Good form on grass and drawn for a cozy run on the pegs. Needed
The Royal Gamble (8) Likely to race close to the speed here. One of the better chances

Race 12

Franco Humbie (1) Has been unlucky and best draw for some time. Top selection in this.
Topaz (4) Better than the form suggests. Better draw here and has to be respected
Knockshanbally (11) Won well on the track back in February. Not the worst at longer odds
