Harness racing hits Methven again today with eleven races on the card. The racing starts at 12:00pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good day of racing.

Race 1

Sandfly Bay (8) Flashed home in a similar field last start and will be improved. Needed here
The Ivy League (12) No luck last start and only needs manners to go close in this. Include
Tilthesunsets (6) In good form and grass ok. One of the major players in this field

Race 2

Whatablaze (11) Ok last start at Addington and trainer does well on the track. Top selection
Pacific Clipper (14) Cheeky run for fourth last start. but tricky draw. Could surprise with luck
Ideal Katch (8) On debut for a strike rate trainer and has trial form. Rates highly here.

Race 3

Beaudiene Quick Step (5) Normally begins ok and grass no issue. Can go forward and be hard to beat
Choco Lou (8) Better for the last start run and consistent before that. Can run top three with luck
Amazing Me (3) Running on last start and drawn to be a danger in this field. Goes close with manners.

Race 4

Sophia Bromac (2) Goes well on the track and drawn to race near the front. Good chance
Hope For Love (1) Good last start and big upgrade in draws. Top three hope here
Peraki Reactor (6) Racing his way into form and goes ok on grass. Can go one better with luck

Race 5

Rachmaninov (7) Unlucky run in a similar field last start. One paced but good on grass and can win
Lucky Way (9) Ok last start and good beginner. Will race handy and competitive here.
Unico Vacanza (16) Change of trainer and only needs manners to be right in it. Good chance

Race 6

Borrisokane (4) Has won on grass and speedy pacer going places. Top selection in this field
Franco Sinatra  (7) Big run to win last start at Addington. Good enough to handle most in this
Bluto (6) Top win on debut in a strong field. Win chance if he handles the grass surface.

Race 7

Beach Ball (8) Racing well in much better fields. Stand a concern but big chance with manners
Artatac (7) Racing in good form and grass suits. Should be there about at the finish
Tom Martin (3) Normally a quick beginner and in winning form. Top three chance in this

Race 8

Franco Tim (6) Good second last start. Needs to bring manners but can go close with driver change
Mucho Macho Man (11) This looks a drop back in class and grass stats ok. Can run in the placings
Ruby’s A Delight (5) Conditions suit and sure to be running on. Always a chance on this course

Race 9

Foveaux Gambler (7) Good beginner who is a good chance at longer odds if he can find the front
Peraki Seelster (11) Big run after working hard last start. Tricky draw but good enough to overcome it.
Jimmyray (3) Has a big reputation and good driver booked. One of the major players

Race 10

Ginas Majesty (6) Out of form but conditions suit and will be running on. Could surprise at longer odds
Boyz Invasion (9) Suited on grass and big driver change. Can win if close enough on the turn
Racey Krusa (3) Unlucky last start with no room. Will be running on in this field

Race 11

Times Are A Changin (1) Should get a good run on the fence. Races well here and can win again
Hey Tonight (3) Might go forward early and racing well. Can run top three with luck
Press Play (14) Tricky draw but has winning claims if he can get a cart into the race. Include
