Harness racing hits Methven again today with eleven races on the card. The racing starts at 12:20pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good day of racing.

Best Value:  R10  Hanover Da Moon

Race 1

Dancing Glenis (12) Has been disappointing but could surprise here. One for longer odds
Freya (4) Has a bit of a reputation and can win if she gets around with no mistakes. Needed
High Noon (7) Going well and trainer does well on the track. One of the better chances

Race 2

Festus Haggen (11) Can not ignore the form but relying on luck early from the draw. Needed
The Finisher (12) Has good ability and was unlucky last start. Not the worst at longer odds
Henry Winkler (7) Looked impressive at latest trials. No surprise to see him win on debut

Race 3

Always B Cocky (6) Race winner who gets a big drop in class for this. Good winning claims
Art Jordan (2) Nice fence draw and running well against stronger fields. Can run top three
Reiver (14) Battled on ok last start and better draw. Place hope in what is a strong field.

Race 4

Tokyo Rose (9) Mobile and sprint trip suit. Can win if she goes forward early. Include
Done Rockn (11) Nice fence draw and won on grass last start. Can go close again in this
Point Break (13) Tricky draw but has been ok in stronger fields. Top driver booked here

Race 5

Prince Ranier (1) Better than form suggests and goes ok on the track. Can win with luck
Racey Krusa (9) Racing well and likely to race handy. Top three chance is his go here
Majestic Whisper (13) Drawn second row but good second recently. Has to be respected

Race 6

Bettor Be Sharp (8) Running on last start and this looks easier. One of the better chances
Sophia Bromac (7) Drops in class for this and good track stats. Can win with luck here
Tower Of Love (3) Much improved draw and he has placed on the track. One for big odds

Race 7

Times Are A Changin (7) Has won a couple on the track and top driver booked. Needed
Radioactive Jaffa (4) Tidy effort last start and should improve. Can go one better here
Big Mama Morris (6) Gate speed to lead early and has been thereabouts. Place chance

Race 8

Oscar Bonavena (9) Draw hurts but should be too fast for these. Top selection here
Mystic Max (7) Only fair last start but this looks much easier. Can push the favourite
Aveross Majesty (5) Good form on grass and sprint suits. Chance with the right trip

Race 9

Jimmy James Maguire (3) Has been good on the track and drawn to race handy. Include
One Change (9) Good third here at only grass start last start. Wide draw but could surprise
Franco Norton (8) Not sure he is at peak fitness but grass track specialist. Very speedy

Race 10

Hanover Da Moon (3) Has the ability but needs the right trip. Good second last start
Sunny Louis (1) Form a bit patchy and driver change. At his best would be a chance
El Conqueror (10) Racing well and should go close again in this. Keep safe here

Race 11

Borrisokane (3) Track will suit and good beginner. Grass no issues and he can win
Topaz (11) Due to strike form and draw might be a blessing. Will pack a late finish
Louis (7) Nice run at Rangiora and has won here. Tough horse who will stick on
