Harness racing hits Methven again today with twelve races on the card. The racing starts at 12:20pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good day of racing.

Race 1

Transtasman Bubble (1) Racing well in similar fields and looks well placed here. Include
Tilthesunsets (8) Good beginner who might be the early leader.  Can stick on for a top three
Love Walked In (4) Getting better with racing and winning claims with luck in this field

Race 2

Destiny Dance (2) Conditions suit and change of trainer. Looks one of the better chances
Pearl’s A Singer (3) Better draw and lots of ability. Unlucky last start and can go close
A Guinness Rock (4) Nice third last start. One for longer odds in this field. Include

Race 3

Sailor Boy (9) Has been racing well and grass suits. Looks one of the major players
Alta Showgirl (3) Was tough last start and improving all the time. Can lift further
Bets On (1) Draw will suit and manners the only concern. Chance at longer odds

Race 4

Ooga Chaka (4) Drawn to be near the lead early. Can go close here if handy on the turn
Make Way For Glory  (1) Should be fitter for this and draw suits. Winning claims
Bonney Eloise (9) Big run for third last time on grass. Could surprise at longer odds

Race 5

El Conqueror (9) Gors well on grass and trainer does well on the track. Include here
Whats Wanted (13) Race form ok and can go close to winning with a good run in transit
Prince Ranier (1) Coming in fresh but goes well on the track. Could regain form here

Race 6

Kalasa (4) Big finish last start looks hard to beat here with manners. Top selection
Rapid Response (10) Good beginner who is due to strike. Top three chance in this field
He’s A Jackalack (8) Form is building nicely and stand suits. Could sneak a top three

Race 7

Maren Franco (10) Grass stats are excellent. Top three player if she gets a good trip
Woodbine Rocks (2) Better than the form suggests. Needs the right trip but has claims
Motor Mouth (3) Ok last start and could sneak a placing again with a quick beginning.

Race 8

Hit The Beach (10) Has been unlucky in his last couple of races. Major player in this field
Times Are A Changin (5) Always a chance in these types of races. Dangerous with a sit
Executive Banner (2) Even field and good enough to get into the placings. Include here

Race 9

Franco Indie (7) Driver change for this and first grass start. Winning claims if he handles it
Jimmy James Maguire (3) Improver who will appreciate the grass. Top three chance here
One Change (12) Handicap hurts but grass should suit. Will be running on late in this field

Race 10

Moonlite Dream (8) Building form and mobile suits. Will head forward and can win
Major Happy (4) Disappointing last start but can turn around the form. Top three player
Big Mama Morris (1) Good enough on her day. Drawn to be competitive. Include

Race 11

Zsa Zoe (1) Has won on the track and racing well. Hard to beat here at longer odds
Sunnys Sister (8) In good form and likely favourite. Needs the right trip but has claims
It’s So Easy (5) Better last start. Fast beginner who could lob another placing here

Race 12

Blue Rock Dancer (9) Trialled well here recently. Looks a good bet in this field. Needed
Doctor Tim (11) Better than the form suggests. Needs the right trip but can place at odds
Sargent Best (5) Ok last start and good grass stats. Can place with a good run in transit
