Harness racing hits Methven again today with twelve races on the card. The racing starts at 11:44am and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good day of grass track racing.

Best Bet:  R1   Ultimate Seisation

Best Value:  R8  Jasprit Trouble

Race 1

Ultimate Seisation (4) Quick finisher with the right trip. Can go close here with luck
Verducci (7) Very good last start and has raced well on the track. Should run top three
Melton Magnate (9) Has been racing better fields and grass might suit. Place chance

Race 2

Call Me The Breeze (1) Inside draw and good enough to make her own luck. Top selection
I’m A Doosie (13) Stable respect and good trial form for this. One for longer odds here
Monkeycmonkeydoo (10) Trained locally and looks stronger this time in. Could surprise

Race 3

Fun To Come (10) Trialled ok on the track recently. Wide draw but can win with manners
Franco Chaplin (5) Good trial win on the track. Manners the key but can play a part
Franco Elvis (7) Racing ok in decent fields and place chance here with luck in running

Race 4

Flo Motion (3) Tough mare who likes the track. Good draw and top selection in this
Opo (1) Nice draw and has gate speed. Has won on grass and should give a good account
Buddy Reign (6) Might go forward early with his gate speed. Could surprise if he leads

Race 5

Take After Me (3) Good course stats and racing well. Can run top three again here
Brian Beatt (7) Good beginner who should get a soft run. Can win with a trail here
Brianna (8) Wide draw to contend with but steps well. Normally reliable and has claims

Race 6

Milou (6) First go on grass but has speed. Chance here at longer odds with the right trip
Sophia Bromac (11) Freshened but good gras stats. Needs the right trip but has claims
Penny Weight (5) Has gate speed and in winning form. Will need luck but not the worst

Race 7

Sargent Best (8) Has been getting back in his races. Well suited here and could surprise
Ebury Street (7) Better than the form suggests. Good Grass stats ok and top three chance
Major Happy (5) Yet to place on grass but give another chance here. Has to be included

Race 8

Jasprit Trouble (2) Has won on the track and getting fitter. Can win with a good beginning
MM Sunshine (7) Racing well and grass suits. Big winning hope of he can find the lead
Dancing Glenis (11) Has grown a leg in new stable. Can sneak a place but tricky draw

Race 9

Keltic Tiger (5) Running on last start and  good enough to win with manners early. Needed
Ruby’s A Delight (11) Good on grass and a chance with a safe beginning. Chance at odds
Threebeersdeep (7) Continue to improve fitness. Place hope here with luck in running

Race 10

Franco Humbie (8) Has won on the track and well held at trials. Good win chance in this
Beaudiene Quick Step (3) Should get a soft run from the draw. Grass suits and good chance
Itsamoneymaker (1) Inside draw and has been racing better fields. Place claims in this

Race 11

Pasternak (11) Grass suits and has been freshened. Can go close here with manners
Baffled (5) Good form on grass and stable respect. Fresh but has to be included
Eyre I Will (7) Very solid grass stats. Coming in fresh but should give a sight here

Race 12

Dennis Denuto (6) Gate speed to lead if he wants to. No form but races well fresh.
Lord Mudrick (3) Better than the form suggests. Better draw here and one for longer odds
Stephs Boy (9) Wide draw but likely to head forward. Could start a deserved favourite
