Harness racing hits Nelson again today with nine races on the card . The racing starts at 3:13pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good day of racing.

Race 1

Copenhagen Girl (1) Trainer does well here and looks hard to beat in this with manners
Seaside Pond (2) Racing well and one of the few with form. One of the better chances
Stunna (7) Goes well from a stand and might be the early leader in this. Place hopes

Race 2

Light Me Up (4) Plenty of speed and could surprise fresh up. Has to be included
Mandala (2) Raced some good fields last campaign. Should give a good sight fresh
Misty Blue (5) Improver from her last start and goes well the track. Winning claims here

Race 3

Volstone (6) Well bred and sure to be right in the finish if he steps cleanly. Top selection
Call Dudley (4) Manners needed but will improve off the back of good West coast form
Nellie Doyle (5) Good effort last start and front row draw. Can sneak into the top three

Race 4

Carrera Bandido (8) Has a decent reputation and beginning to show it. Top selection in this
Lasa (5) Better run last start on grass and track should suit. Should give a good account here
Itsallaboutthemoney (7) Good finish last start and win chance with a good run in transit

Race 5

He’s A Bay (1) Slightly disappointing last start. This looks easier from the draw. Needed
Country Gold (5) Good beginner and well placed here. Can get back into form in this
Style Council (7) Should be fitter after last start fourth. Back to the grit will help him here

Race 6

Hi Hopes (5) Conditions suit and easy victory last start. Rise in grade will not worry her
Social Distancing (8) Quick from the mobile. Winning claims at odds if he can lead early
Sophia Bromac (9) Good fourth last start and has a big finish. Track should suit. Include

Race 7

The River Boy (6) Has raced better fields. Should be in the first three with manners
Knowing Me (9) Plenty of speed but still making mistakes. Hard to beat with no errors
Zsazsa Binx (8) Wide draw but track should suit. Even field but can go close to placing here

Race 8

Clonakilty (6) Big on ability and mobile start helps. Has speed and good winning chance
Dave Duley (4) Weaker here after racing strong fields. Look for an improved showing
Always B You (7) Extra distance will be ok and nice third last start. Top three chance

Race 9

Built For Glory (6) Big win last start and looks fitter now. Good chance if he finds the lead
Who’s Delight (7) Stand start the only concern but hard to beat if he finds the front. Needed
Sideshow Bruce (1) Up in grade. Could surprise at longer odds with early manners.

Race 10

What The Bell (3) Nice win last start and can go on with it. Drawn well and needed here
Judy J (2) Has been racing much better fields. Has to be respected in this at longer odds
Regal Sierra (8) Good finish last start and can do some work mid race. Could surprise

Race 11

Radha (9) Coming in fresh and ok at trials. Big reputation and can go close here
Melody Banner (5) Likely leader who can go close if she brings her a-game. Needed
Bryson Dechambeau (2) Should race close to the speed here. One of the better chances
