Harness racing hits Nelson again today with eleven races on the card. The racing starts at 2:41pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good afternoon of racing.

Race 1

Moose Morowski (5) Ok at trials and looks hardest to beat in this. Top selection in this
Gatecrasher (4) Good form in similar fields and drawn to go forward early. Winning claims
Scarlett’s Legacy (1) Draw the key and she ran home well last start. Chance with a soft trip

Race 2

Harmonia (10) Flat footed on grass last start but has looked ok at trials. Chance at odds
Ready Set Jet (3) Stable respect fresh up. One of the better chances on trial form
Popnrock (4) Not the worst at trials and stable do well here. Chance if handy on the turn

Race 3

Take A Selfie (6) Conditions suit here and trial form ok. Good chance in this with manners
I’m Rockin (12) Has not had all the luck but has good trial form. Can win with no mistakes
Whosdreamingnow (4) Draw and distance suit. Could surprise here with a good trip

Race 4

Rocknroll Diva (10) Out of form but drawn to get a soft run here. Chance at longer odds
Fergalicious (1) Drawn to be a factor with a trail. Good winning chance here from the draw
Woodlea Jewel (2) Gate speed and new trainer. Likely leader who could stick on for place

Race 5

All You Need Is Me (5) Has looked good at trials. One of the better chances
Twista (9) Draw hurts and will need luck in the running but good enough to go close
Bet On Polly (12) Tough draw but has speed and can place with the right run  

Race 6

Ruakaka (13) Trialing well and should go close to winning here with manners. Top selection
Lovey Dovey Nova (8) Ran home well at Motukarara and track should suit. Has to be included
Our Pegasus Pearl (7) Getting fitter and has placed on the track. Will not be far away here

Race 7

Tide And Time (3) Likely early leader who looks a solid winning chance here. Needed
Jack Tar (4) Stable do well on the track and this one racing well. Include here
Bryce’s Meddle (2) Tidy second in a similar field last start. Can go one better with luck

Race 8

Sunnys Sister (8) Racing well and drop in class here. Can make it three in a row
Almighty Fear (9) Easy win last start. Can run top three with a similar effort here
Zsa Zoe (6) Course stats ok. Strong field but can place with a quick beginning

Race 9

Alta Meteor (9) Racing well and has a reputation. Should go close to making it two in a row
Mighty Looee (10) Going better than the form suggests. Great course stats here. Needed
Fernetti (2) Drawn to get a good run close to the speed. Even field but can place

Race 10

Country Gold (1) Good beginner with conditions to suit. Will race handy here
Blue Rock Dancer (2) Has raced ok in similar fields. One of the better chances
Chris Kyle (8) Bad draw but a chance at longer odds if he gets handy to the leaders

Race 11

Major Happy (2) Going well lately and looks a major player in this. Good chance
Absolute Dynamite (11) Back in form and good enough to get into the finish again here
Hi Hopes (9) Tricky draw but looks well placed here. Can run top three with luck
