Harness racing hits Nelson again today with twelve races on the card. The racing starts at 12:20pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good day of racing.

Race 1

Bono Brown  (6) Massive run on day one and a big chance of running top three with natural improvement.
Melando Chief (4) Had a tough run but battled back well on the first day. Should go well again here
Secret Cocktail (3) Finished on last start. Shorter trip will help and has claims from the draw. Include

Race 2

Spells Of Love (2) Tidy debut run 1st day and will run another good race. Hard to beat again
Imperial Monarch (8) Looked like running a place on day one but galloped late. Can run top three here
King Of Diamonds (9) Been galloping but has the ability. Winning claims at longer odds with manners.

Race 3

Double Time (2) Just pipped the first day but looks home in this from the draw. Top selection here
Fourth Amendment (1) Should trail the favourite here and can stick on for a place again. Needed
Archie (7) Bit unlucky on day one and was running on. Can surprise with the right trip 

Race 4

Michael Caine (5) Good here after a tough run on day one. Capable of beating this field on his day
Aeronaut (2) Good draw and running on late first day. One of the better chances in an even field
Remy Brown (1) Better draw and not much luck on Friday. Should race handy and can win

Race 5

Our Pegasus Pearl (7) Ran on well in a tougher field first day. Good chance if she can step early.
Buffy Northstains (3) Ran good sectionals to place on Friday. Draw upgrade and a major player today
Bonnie Bagrie (14) Running on late Friday. Draw hurts but she can go ok at longer odds today..

Race 6

Franco Cornel (5) Nearly got the win on the first day and shorter trip suits. Hard to beat here
Ultimate Bird (8) Good on Friday and well suited to the mile distance. Tricky draw but include
Speciale Uno (1) Likely to get a good run on the fence. Mile suits and she can go close to placing

Race 7

Repeat Pat (7) Easy winner on day one and can repeat here with a similar effort. Top selection
Missalyssa (4) Has run some good races against stronger fields. Winning claims in this
Zsa Zoe (2) Good run on the first day and will race handy to the speed. Can go close to top three

Race 8

Casino Action (5) Big effort last start and looks the leader in the race. Hard to beat in this
Ajira (2) Looked back to his best with an tidy win on day one. Can repeat with a soft run in transit
J R Bromac (3) Has early speed and could trail here. Can run a cheeky race against this field

Race 9

Mighty Looee (7) Shorter distance right up his alley and good win on day one. Hard to beat again
Katherine (3) Gets a nice draw to work with and mile suits. Strong field but has winning claims
Celtic Spirit (2) Fast beginner off the gate if they want to use it. Looks a better bet over the shorter trip

Race 10

Absolute Dynamite (5) Plenty of ability and drawn better. Chance here if he can find the front
Brando (2) Top run to win on day one and looks a big chance to repeat. Rates highly in this
Foveaux Gambler (6) Looked very unlucky on the first day. Not sure the mile suits but has claims

Race 11

Treasure Trail (7) Good win on the first day but wide draw hurts. Chance to go back to back with luck
Philadelphia Filly (1) Drawn well today and didn’t get all favours on day one. Better placed here.
Lets Get Tropical (5) Flashed home late on day on. Hard to beat in this with a repeat performance

Race 12

Red Right Hand (4) Ok on the first day and a draw upgrade. Can go close here with luck
Divine Angel (2) Up in grade after a good win on day one. Even field here but drawn to be a threat
South Seas Rock (6) Quick beginner who was ok on the first day. Better chance over the shorter trip
