Harness racing hits Northern Southland again today with 12 races on the card . The racing starts at 3:45pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good afternoon of racing.

Race 1

Storm Cloud (7) Good beginner and track suits. Latest form is consistent and winning claims
Didn’t Di (1) Trials have been ok and drawn well here. Look for a better showing with manners
Brother Johnson (8) Gives the stable a good presence in the race and one of the better chances.

Race 2

Janaka’s Delight (8) Never had much luck in earlier starts. Wide draw but has to be included
Sweet DJ (1) Form is good and best draw in the race. Should give a good sight again here
Crackasky (2) Getting better with racing and might push forward early. Chance at longer odds

Race 3

Majestic Me (6) Good win on debut and rise in grade should be no issue. Good run expected
Kracka Looka (7) Freshened and a threat to the favourite with a good run in transit. Include
Pyramid Rose (8) Better run last start with manners the main concern here. Chance with luck

Race 4

Captain Amore (4) Good second last start and will push forward early. Can keep improving. Needed
Adamas (9) Fence draw can work out ok on the track. Will be finishing strongly with any gaps
Harold Hanover (1) Ace draw and can run a cheeky race with a soft trail. Chance at longer odds

Race 5

Missile (8) Fought on last start after working hard. Likely to go forward and hard to beat. Top selection
Domination’s Call (4) Finished on last start and normally holds form. Good each way chance here
Mixed Faith (3) Will be fitter after last start and always around the top four. In the mix again in this

Race 6

Magnetic Beckers (5) Tough horse who is a bit one paced. Hard to beat with a soft trip. Include
Durrant (3) Latest runs have been ok. Place claims if he gets to the fence during the running
Ward Lamon (6) Tidy run last start and driver change for this. Could surprise and needed here

Race 7

Flying Bird (5) Small track will help and can do some work mid race. Can get into the finish
Beach Day (6) At her best would be a major threat in this. Likely to head forward. Good chance
Wallflower (9) Tricky draw but going for four in a row. One of the better chances but will need luck

Race 8

Tuneinsportsfans (5) Has early speed and top driver booked. Small track ideal and can give a sight
Sporty Charlie (3) No form but draw gives him options. Has place claims at longer odds in this
Chezz Dale (6) Coming in fresh and early money for him. Stable respect and a leading chance here

Race 9

One Over All (10) Better than most of these and should go close here with manners. Top selection
Jimmy Carter (8) Decent motor and early manners will be the decider here. Good chance if he steps
Rush (2) Nice win last start and keeps punching above her weight. Has to be included in this

Race 10

One Change (7) Looks faster than his rivals. Hard to see him beaten in this field. Top selection here
Commander Ben (5) Front row draw and nice run last start. Distance suits and has to be respected
Nutcracker (2) Not sure the longer distance will aid her chances. Place chance with a good trip

Race 11

Tabasco (5) Has form in better fields and has won on the track. Can go close here if he goes forward
On The Wing (1) Drawn for a cozy run on the pegs and top driver in the sulky. Should be thereabouts
Always Ticking (3) Likely to race close to the speed here. Never far away and can give a good sight

Race 12

Mr President (3) Has been unlucky and best draw for the last few starts. Winning claims in this
Netherton Franco (1) Better than the form suggests. Nice draw here and should go close to top three
Dreamalittledream (4) Likely to go forward early with top driver on. Not the worst at longer odds
