Harness racing hits Invercargill again today with eight races on the card. The racing starts at 2:49pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good day of racing.

Race 1

Abacardi Hazel (5) Has been racing decent fields in Canterbury. Good chance in this field
See It Thru (7) Seems reliable from a stand and battled on ok last start. Winning claims
Cool Phelan (8) Has a bit of a motor and is a big chance if caught in the right mood.

Race 2

Teddy Baker (3) Destroyed them last start and looks the winner if he runs like that again
Brookies Player (11) Not much luck the last couple. Could run top three here at longer odds
Mr McLaren (7) Coming in fresh and ran some nice races last campaign. Include here

Race 3

Wai Key Wee (5) Impressive when winning two in a row recently. Hard to beat
Hurricane Hill (4) Good win last start and this field not much stronger. Winning
Tweedledee (6) Coming in fresh and small field will help. Can surprise with the right trip

Race 4

Sweet Treat  (9) Has looked very good at recent trials. Capable of beating this
Prima Donna (4) Good draw and could lead early. Nice chance in this
Sherwood Maggie (3) Good draw but gone off the boil. Draw and distance suits

Race 5

Get Up N Dance (4) Good horse resuming. Will be hard to beat with manners
Doctor Tim (3) Fitter for the last start fourth. One of the better chances in this field
Mogul (6) Tricky handicap but small field helps. Top driver on so has a good chance

Race 6

Raupunga Lad (8) Unbeaten pacer who faces his toughest test to date. Hard to beat
Arnies Army (9) Coming in fresh and was in good form last campaign. Place hopes in this
Sonny Maguire (6) Tidy horse resuming. Can trouble the favourite if fully fit

Race 7

Hidden Talent (8) Tricky draw but beat a similar field easily last star. Major player in this
Ti Amo Belle (6) Has run some good races in Canterbury and is tough. Winning claims
Majestic Love (3) Good second last start and draw suits. Can go close to top three in this

Race 8

Xlendi (8) Big effort last start and in top form. Looks hard to beat in this lineup
Captain Bligh (13) Placed on debut and top driver booked. Could surprise with the right run
Durrant (3) Freshened and ok in recent trial. Can run a cheeky race against this field
