Harness racing hits Oamaru again today with eleven races on the card. The racing starts at 12:08pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good day of racing.

Our Shangri Lana (3) Very quick filly who should lead and go close to winning this. Needed
Carmelite (6) Getting better with racing and small field will help.  Winning claims in this
Terror Ma Sue (2) Has not had a lot of luck and drawn well. Can run into the placings

Race 2

Lucinda Hest (8) Conditions suit and top driver booked. Looks one of the better chances
Gary Player (9) Manners the key but plenty of ability. Could upset if he trots all the way
Tinkerbelle (3) Ok in a strong field on debut. Has been good at trials so go again here

Race 3

We Walk By Faith (7) Has been racing well at trials and stable respect here. Winning claims
Piccadilly Pete (2) Drawn to be close to the front from the start. Trials suggest a good showing
Wavewatcher (3) Bubbling away just out of the placings. Has the speed to be a chance in this

Race 4

Light Me Up (5) Has looked extra at the trials and if he steps away should take some catching
Festus Haggen (8) Has the form on board and conditions suit here. Can run top three again
Kawactus (3) Quick beginner who could land a handy spot early. One for longer odds in this

Race 5

Mon Lancome (9) Freshened after chasing some good fillies last campaign. Top selection
Flo Motion (3) Race form ok and she is tough. Should give a good account in this field
Lets Get Tropical (7) Freshened and looks to have come back stronger. Can run top three

Race 6

Brian Beatt (5) Due to strike form again. Needs the right trip but has winning claims
Miss Gracie (1) Good second last start. Inside draw will suit and can run top three again
Markthewarrior (12) Start will be crucial for him here. Hard to beat if he gets it all right

Race 7

Clymenus (8) Nice win the last start. Good chance again if he gets a good run. Needed
Hes Santas Excuse (4) In form but always finds one better. Needs the right trip but can win
Rocknroll Diva (9) Wide draw but good enough to play a part here. Could press forward early.

Race 8

Zsa Zoe (6) Has been racing in strong fields. Major player in this with her ability. Include
Prince Ranier  (4) Unlucky last start. Front row draw will suit and can run top three again
Brett’s Mate (11) Handicap a concern but has winning claims with luck. Not the worst in this

Race 9

Hey Bartender (7) Good horse coming in fresh. Small field helps and he should go close here
Woodbine Rocks (4) In good form and has raced well on the track in the past. Top three claims
She’s Tough (5) Better last start and can go on with it here. One of the better chances in this

Race 10

Winnyzback (8) Building fitness and top driver booked. Should be thereabouts with luck
Szybka Lane (7) Good last start and similar effort takes her close in this. Top three player
Ifyousayso (2) Has been unlucky and drawn to be competitive. Could surprise at longer odds

Race 11

Sucitra (11) Standing start a concern but has the ability. Will give a good account with manners
The Conqueror (4) Stand start flyer suited by the sprint trip. One of the better chances in this
Tanzania (1) Impressive winner last start. Good enough to feature here with a quick beginning
