Harness racing hits Rangiora again today with ten races on the card . The racing starts at 12:32pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good night of racing.

Race 1

Tessamae (5) Going well enough to get her first win. Should run top three with manners
Gold Nugget (4) Grass surface will help and should begin quickly. Has to be respected here
Lindy’s Rocket (7) Getting better with racing and building form. One of the better chances

Race 2

Jena (3) Improving and better draw to work with here. Good bet here with winning claims
Vesta (4) Has early speed to be one of the leaders and will be fitter. One for longer odds
Echappe (5) Improver from her last start and on the improve. Top three chance in this

Race 3

The Mantis (7) Has raced well in better fields. Nice run expected after being freshened
Quicker Than Quick (4) Has gate speed and due for some better form. In the mix here
Revolution (13) Hard to catch but on his best day is smart. Place chance with luck 

Race 4

Major Happy (4) Fought on last start but grass stats only fair. Should give a good account
Big Mama Morris (1) Out of form but well placed from the draw. Chance at longer odds
Ann Sophie (10) Will be fitter after last start. Trailing draw and should get a soft trip. Include

Race 5

Oliver (11) Good second on grass at Methven. Will need a good trip but do not discount in this
Baffled (7) Should get a soft run handy. Had excuses last start and expect a better run here
Solemn Son (4) Getting better with racing and seems more tractable now. Can feature with luck

Race 6

Franco Tim (5) Drawn to go forward early. Grass suits and should race handy. Winning claims
Acento (2) Should get a run through early. Due to get back into form and not the worst here
Moet Shard (3) Nice draw but average the last couple. Upset claims with an improved showing

Race 7

Audacity (10) Beat a similar field last start. Will need manners but has the speed to win again
Here’s Herbie (9) Has won here in the past and reliable. Winning claims if he can get handy
Tanzania (1) Running on last start and should get a good run near the speed. Top three chance

Race 8

Style Council (3) Has been disappointing. At his best would go close here. Give another chance
Piccadilly Pete (4)Decent motor and drawn well here. His best form would go close in this
Times Are A Changin (6) Will continue to improve and with a nice trip could surprise at odds

Race 9

Te Rapa (9) Quick finish to win last start and top driver sticks with. Wide draw but can win again
Rush (14) Decent motor and will head forward. Recent grass form good and is a danger here
Masterly (2) Drawn well and will race near the speed. Deserved favourite with winning claims

Race 10

Post Painter (9) Has raced better fields. Drawn wide but has gate speed. One for longer odds
Stephs Boy (8) Wide draw but better than most in this field. Could try for the front early. Include
Jose Quivera (14) Tricky draw but can do some work mid race. Bolter here with a nice cart into it
