Harness racing hits Rangiora again today with eight races on the card. The racing starts at 3:06pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good afternoon of racing.

Olive Cook (10) Bit of a drop back in grade here. Strike rate driver on. Needed here
Shards Fury (7) One paced but good enough to place at longer odds with luck
Phone Tap (1) Draws well and will stick on from there. One of the better chances

Race 2

Instant Classic (6) Good at Addington trials and manners the only concern. Include
One El (12) Ok at trials and workouts. Needs to step but not the worst. Keep safe
Sinner Cool (7) Has run some tidy races previously and weaker field here. Good chance

Race 3

Treasure Trail (2) Coming in fresh but was good at her first couple of starts. Needed
Madam Ruler (10) Drawn for a cosy run and should be close to the placings in this field
Secret Cocktail (4) Should have won one before now and drawn ok. Hard to beat

Race 4

T K Megastar (6) One of the quicker horses in the field. Hard to beat with a safe getaway
Ginas Majesty (4) Normally pretty reliable and conditions suit. Should go close to placing
Majestic Whisper (10) Has been disappointing but better than that. One for longer odds

Race 5

Let’s Go Ringo (8) Good stand manners and second in a similar field last start. Include
Move It On Over (4) Stand stats not inspiring but a big threat if he steps cleanly. Needed
Real Men Wear Pink (7) Has trialled ok but been unlucky at races. Could surprise

Race 6

Gold Bullion (7) Looked good when winning fresh up. Can win again with no mistakes
One Over Da Line (8) Getting better with racing and one of the major players in this field
Confessional (9) Racing well and can out tough them if he gets handy mid race.

Race 7

Star Casino (7) Has been disappointing but fastest horse in the field. Winning claims
Hidden Desire (9) Stand suits and he has had some unlucky runs in transit. Needed
Sports Babe (8) Form is better than it reads on paper. Could surprise at longer odds

Race 8

Maid Of Money (7) Tricky draw but good enough to get some money with the right trip
Press Play (9) Big finish last start and will be running on again in this. Winning claims
Bettor Ruby’s A Delight (10) Racing ok and drawn to get a run through early. Include here
