Harness racing hits Rangiora again today with eight races on the card. The racing starts at 1:07pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good day of racing.

Best Bet:  R1   George Eliot

Best Value:  R5   Natives Inferno

Race 1

George Eliot (8) Should have won a race by now and hard to see her beaten here. Needed
Dancing Glenis (11) Out of form but speedy when right. Could surprise with no mistakes
One El (2) Hasn’t had all the luck but getting fitter. Can fill a top three spot in this

Race 2

Scarlett’s Legacy (6) Ran some good races last campaign and freshened for this. Top selection
Flying For Me (7) Draw hurts and races best when handy. One of the better chances in this
Melody Arden (9) Will be better for last start run. Wide draw but can run top three with luck

Race 3

I’m Rockin (2) Conditions suit here and likely leader. Should go close on trial runs
Fulham Jive (8) Has not had all the luck but has the motor to win with a soft run in transit.
Lady Boutique (4) Another from a good stable with trial form. Ability to run a place

Race 4

Izacheapee (10) On her recent trial form looks a solid winning chance. Conditions suit here
Shards Fury (2) Better draw for this and track should suit. Has to be respected in this field
Megarock (1) Stand start speed to lead and can stick on. Could surprise here at longer odds

Race 5

Natives Inferno (1) Track looks ideal for him and only needs a safe beginning to be a major threat here
Royal Del (8) Down in grade and racing ok. Could be over the odds and would go close if at his best
Buffy Northstains (5) Always races well in similar races. Conditions suit and top three chance. Include

Race 6

Milou (4) Ok last start in a stronger field and drawn to be a strong chance in this. Top selection
Elite Styx (3) Good last start and one of the best chances in this. Should be close up at the finish
Jazzy Styx (5) Stable winning all over the Country. Good form and has to be respected in this

Race 7

Fernz Goldy (2) Hasn’t had all the luck but the track should suit. Drawn to lead early here
Major Happy (8) Draw hurts but still a good chance if she can get handy mid race. Include
The Real McCoy (5) Out of form but better than that. Has winning claims at longer odds

Race 8

Lethal Speed (7) On his recent win he looks a solid winning chance again. Needed
Cardi B (9) Racing well and has gate speed. Should run top three in this and can win
Sophia Bromac (3) Going well in similar fields and distance no issue. Will not be far away

Race 9

Lookslikeatrixter  (4) On his recent form he is a top chance of winning again here. Include.
Beat The Covid (12) Racing well but tricky draw. Chance here with the right trip in transit
Rachmaninov (1) Drawn to receive a good run on the pegs. Likes the track and can place

Race 10

Sweet Diamond (9) Small field suits here. Likely leader who will take some running down
Jack Tar (4) Needs to go forward early to have the best chance. Racing well and needed here
Bryce’s Meddle (3) Could get a better run here and a good place chance with the right trip
