Harness racing hits Rangiora again today with 11 races on the card. The racing starts at 12:25pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good afternoon of racing.

Race 1

The Highlander (1) Should get a soft trip on the pegs. One for longer odds in this field
Here Comes Marty (10) Has been disappointing but stable respect on home track. Needed
Touch N Go (3) Getting better with racing and not the worst with a soft trip. Include

Race 2

Nobilo (9) Trialed like an early winner. Needs manners but dangerous if he got to the front
Bizza To’o (10) Should measure up nicely here. Building fitness and has improvement to come
Lorde Franco (12) Improver from her last start. Needs a quick start but worth including at the price

Race 3

Ninth Wave Arden (3) Driver and stable respect and drawn to be a major factor. Good run expected
Stumpy Blackler (6) Ok last start and a threat to the favourites with a good run in transit. Needed
American Tos (7) Good effort at trials but draw. Can sneak into the top three with luck in the running

Race 4

Macho Man (4) Hard run last start but a winning chance again from the draw. Can add value in this
Loveyou To Da Skye (10) Has been freshened but manners the key here. Hard to beat with no mistakes
Ridge (11) Out of form but improver with a place chance at longer odds after a freshen up. In the mix

Race 5

Vesta (7) Fought on last start in a stronger field. Back on grit may suit and has to be included
Cee Whata Mickee (8) Stable does well with first starters and a good each way chance in this
Let’s Party (10) Gets a pegs draw to work with and should get a soft trip. Stable respect here

Race 6

Candy Cane (11) Tricky draw but plenty of ability. Trialing well and top selection in this field
Nothing But You (7) In great form and well placed here. Good each way chance with a good trip
Bettor Off (6) Will be fitter after last start. Should measure up nicely here but needs luck to win. 

Race 7

Major Li (7) Good in recent trials and top driver booked. Hard to beat and worth an EW ticket.
Son Of Doc (1) Should get a soft run handy. Can drop in behind the speed and stalk them
Art Jordan (5) Due to show form and drawn well here. Driver change and has upset claims

Race 8

Hugo (2) Likely to head forward early and conditions suit here. One for longer odds in this
Warrior Chief (9) Decent motor but tricky draw. Needs to get put in the race and can stick on
Zarlini (10) Disappointing last start. Will continue to improve and place hope from the pegs draw

Race 9

Stormy Vista (5) Conditions suit and he should be handy to the speed here. Winning claims here
Ukraine (9) Big motor and stand manners needed but looks one of the better chances in the race
Lonnekers (3) Disappointing last start. Will continue to improve and win hope with a safe getaway

Race 10

Whispering Over (8) Racing well and looks a good bet. Top driver on and one of the main chances
Tyrons Strapping Lad (11) Tricky draw but better than most in this field. Has to be respected in this
Lookslikeatrixter (6) Good finish last start and can do some work mid race. One for longer odds

Race 11

Desert Dancer (5) Freshened and likely to head forward to the lead here. Top selection in this field
Ask Me Lazarus (2) Has not had a lot of luck but can finish quickly. Place claims at a price. Include
Woodlea Diamond (10) Should get a soft run on the pegs and good chance to sneak into the placings
