Harness racing hits Rangiora again today with eleven races on the card. The racing starts at 5:16pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good night of racing.

Best Bet:  R1  Royal Grace

Best Value:  R3  Good Time Betty

Race 1

Mouton Cadet (8) Big run in a stronger field last start. Should go close here and top selection in this
Rockin Va Va (5) Stable and driver respect in the amateur races. Fitness query but has to be included
Off The Edge (7) Experienced in these amateur races and is always a chance. Can fill a place with luck

Race 2

Royal Grace (5) Disappointing last start but freshened and will be hard to beat in this. Needed
Wypout (3) Good enough to make his own luck in the running and still on the up. Can give cheek
Lindy’s Rocket (4) Did not get a lot of luck on debut and weaker field here. Should give a good account

Race 3

Good Time Betty (1) Nice draw and has raced better fields in the past. Chance at longer odds in this
Just Foxin (8) Has been disappointing on race day. Place claims if he lives up to his early trial form
Greets (11) Mobile will help here. Pegs draw and seeking gaps but not the worst in this. Include

Race 4

Dash Dosh (8) Galloped last start and will need to bring manners. Mobile a help and can win
Major Doosie (6) Wide draw but quick beginning last start from similar. Will have admirers. Needed
Maroubra (1) Races well over the shorter trip if he can stay handy early. Should be thereabouts

Race 5

The Conqueror (2) Better for racing and a quick beginner. Chance at longer odds with a soft lead
Bondi Lustre (6) Has raced well against similar fields. Should begin quickly and race handy. Include
Blue Rock Dancer (1) Not sure the draw is ideal but due to get back into form. Give another chance

Race 6

Fernz Goldy (6) Has won on the track and trial form ok. Good chance in what is an even field. Include
Ruby’s A Delight (5) Running good races in tough fields. Should give a good account in this field
Flyaway (7) Wide draw but not the worst in a small field. Can do some work in the running and stick

Race 7

Rachmaninov (11) Goes well on the track and driver change for this. Will be running on late. Include
Blink N Bones (7) Getting fitter and did go a good race at Kaikoura. One for longer odds in this
The Bloss (10) Normally quick away and a big drop in class. One of the major chances in this field. 

Race 8

Goorambat Art (4) Conditions suit and a good winning chance if can get some luck. Needed here
Lord Mudrick (6) Could be the possible early leader in this. Out of form but could upset at his best
Dulcinea (2) Has not had much luck and she does bob up at longer odds on occasions. Upset chance
