Harness racing hits Rangiora again today with eight races on the card. The racing starts at 3:09pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good afternoon of racing.

Race 1

Off The Edge (8) Lobs up every now and then and conditions suit. Can run top three again
Pure Courage (7) Getting better with racing and has the gate speed to be a major player.
Foveaux Gambler (5) Races ok on the track. Winning claims if he gets handy early

Race 2

George Eliot (7) Overdue a win and mobile suits. Hard to beat if she can find the front
Styx Jewel (1) Has good ability and only needs manners to be a threat here. Good chance
Dancing Glenis (10) Building fitness and does have finishing speed. Could upset at odds

Race 3

Pearl’s A Singer (1) Ok run last start and draw upgrade for this. Has to be respected
Miley Ace (7) Due to strike form again but drawn wide. Top three claims at longer odds
Samvasa (6) Freshened and raced some good fields last campaign. Needed fresh up

Race 4

Wilma’s Boy (6) Impressive at Cup trials and should run first or second with manners
Tyron Eros (5) Has plenty of ability and a good chance to go back to back in this field
Father Time (3) Ok last start in a similar field. Top three chance again here.

Race 5

Apatchofgold (3) Has been unlucky and better than form suggests. Can win with luck
Hit The Beach (1) Racing well and drawn to trail. Can improve further. Needed here
Vincent Vega (6) Has gate speed and might try to cross them early. Not the worst here

Race 6

He’s A Jackalack (8) Manners very good and a good chance here again. Needed
Megarock (7) Should step away and land handy. Can go close to winning with luck
Kennedy (5) Drawn to be handy to the speed all the way. One for longer odds here

Race 7

Natives Inferno (16) Loves the track and racing well in strong fields. Top selection
Majestic Whisper (14) Back in form with a nice second last start. Can place again
Ginas Majesty (6) Has been disappointing but better than that. Improver at long odds

Race 8

Woodlea Jewel (2) Draw suits and should get a better run here. Can get into the placings
Courage Reactor (5) Gate speed and a winning chance if she crosses them early. Needed
Krystal Delight (6) Likes to race handy. Chance if she goes forward early and gets a soft run
