Harness racing hits Rangiora again today with 9 races on the card. The racing starts at 12:34pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good day of racing.

Best Value:  R6  Musclynn

Race 1

Super Fund  (5) Slight drop in grade for this. Driver has a good amateur record so needed here
Gliding High (1) Draw will help and should begin quickly. Can finish in the top three from the ace
Knockshanbally (6) Disappointing last start but has been freshened and upset chance if fully fit.

Race 2

Hi Life (7) Change of trainer after some good runs last campaign. Looks hard to beat with a good trip
Pacific Thunder (1) One paced but will be fitter. Drawn well and normally a fast beginner. Needed
Sabi Sands (5) Improver from her last start and conditions suit here. Top three chance with luck

Race 3

Royal Gypsy (3) Looked good winning last start and drop in class here. Should win if he leads
Speeding Spirit (2) Ok last start and a threat to these with a good run in transit. Distance suits
Brianna (1) Battled on last start but will be fitter. Can sneak into the top three with a soft trip

Race 4

Harry Belafonte (12) Top run last start and a winning chance in this field. Will be running on
Major Happy (9) Has form and goes well the track. Should give a good account in this field
Santanna Mach (5) Stand and distance suits here. In with a good each way chance in this

Race 5

Woodlea Rocks (1) Fought on last start in a similar field. Best draw and can go close to winning
Katys Shadow (7) Better than the form suggests and look for an improved run. Good EW chance
Longview Tui (12) Racing well and keeps improving. Will pick up a win at some stage, Include

Race 6

Musclynn (1) Has not had a lot of luck in recent runs. Top three claims against this lot. Needed
Tactical Bid (4) Should get a soft run handy with manners. Winning claims with no mistakes
Take After Me (2) Always a chance in these sorts of races. Conditions suit and will step quickly

Race 7

Sweet Dreams (1) Might start favourite here from the draw. Good winning chance with a trail
Ivona Dadic (3) Good beginner who should go close to winning in this. Best form horse here
My Ten Guitars (9) Not much going right but capable of running top three if the pace is on

Race 8

Granny Rose (3) Quick beginner who will head forward early. Has to be included with his manners
Sandfly Bay (1) Has been disappointing but can go one better with the right trip. Upset claims
Our Evie Rae (5) Keeps galloping but the ability is there. One for odds and just needs manners

Race 9

Blackjack (1) Best draw helps and can go close here if he gets a soft trail in the race. Top selection
Carrera Tranquilo (8) Decent motor and did well in a stronger field last start. Has to be respected
Whyamihere (11) Real stayer who needs the pace on to show his best. Top three chance in this
